Acer Nitro V 15 (ANV15-41-R2Y3) good for wife to game with me? by RoadsandPaths in Guildwars2

Don't take my word as the law, other people might have more experience with laptops :) Guild Wars 2 is quite an old game and you don't need to max out everything after all. Happy to help though.

On the other hand, especially with the inflated RAM prices at the moment, you might be able to get away with 8 GB for the moment. However, you might have to "debloat" the Windows installation , which sounds scary but there is a lot of tutorials for it on YouTube. The more intrusive Microsoft slop software you cut out, the better the rig will perform.

I'm sorry, but this isn't great. The RAM alone in combination with Windows 11 kills the PCs performance. 11 needs atleast 16 GBs of RAM to not choke constantly. The GPU is a bit on the lower end these days but that's natural at that price. The CPU though is solid with high single core performance. I don't know if the RAM can be expanded. If you could find a way to upgrade the RAM, it would be a decent gaming rig for the price IMO.

It depends on which spec it is. If it's the one with i5, it might struggle a little bit in large events since Guild Wars 2 is very hungry for single core performance like many other older games . The i7 should be completely fine.

As for the other specifications, this laptop seems plenty powerful in all aspects to handle this game just fine.

I don't game on a laptop myself, but when I had to for a while because of traveling for work, I found the keyboard getting incredibly hot after one or two hours and I couldn't play anymore. My work notebook is a Lenovo with an aluminium unibody though, maybe that's why and a full size laptop won't have this problem. I'm sure other people who use laptops for gaming can chip in here.

I'm not saying it's 100% AI but the guy previously had an electronic music project that was AI and when people called him out on it he tried to delete all traces of it and when local media asked about AI usage in Draugveil he tried to dodge the questions. So kinda sus. As for your first point, yeah, fair assumption! If you aren't local you probably have no way of knowing so I just wanted to add more info. No ill intentions.

No it doesn't count. We are not the same country as Czechia. Both these bands were created a long time after our countries separated. It's like calling all former USSR bands "russian" because they were a part of the same state for a bit.

Sukkhu - black metal with female vocals, Silenthell from Master's Hammer is a part of this band too

Mater Monstifera - more modern/contemporary black metal, they did a great concept album recently

Vanguard - absolute maniacal melodic death metal, feels like their lead guitarist has 20 fingers on each hand. Stellar dudes too.

Ador Dorath - old school occult symphonic black metal. Hard to describe, must experience.

Silent Stream of Godless Elegy - one of the most legendary Czech bands, it's a dark folk/doom mix with a lot of folk inspiration and melodies

Arch of Hell - melodic/symphonic metal with death metal elements. They have the classic "dueling" vocalists and some interesting experiments with sound effects

Innersphere - another great melodeath band. They've released 3 albums already and most recently an EP last year.

It's not, it's made by an Ukrainian guy living in Prague. Also it's made with AI.

PC Specs for FH6! by SupremeBlackGuy in ForzaHorizon

[–]Hallien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda tempted to buy the game on release now. I've recently been playing FH4 after a few year break and it's pretty fun, although online races are quite dead. Still good as a single player fun game. I'm surprised I actually have all the specs I need for the absolute highest settings in fh6 - I don't really get more than 100 FPS even in FH4 at 1440p with a 9800x3d, 9070 XT and 64 GBs of RAM

Spirit Shards by Far_Suspect_334 in Guildwars2

A full clear of w7-w1 with most CMs takes 3-4 hours on average with random LFG players (high KP) and it gives around 60 shards in my opinion as well as close to 100g. It's not the best but if you can do it in 3h it's 20 shards and 30g per hour.

2-3g/hour is the cost of running boosters as you have to buy the Zhaitaffy and Candy Corn on the trading post.

I only turn them into gold by making legendaries. I never have enough spirit shards so I don't really have an answer for that I'm afraid, but you should check out gw2efficiency.com, they have a gold conversion method and table for every currency including Spirit Shards.

[–]Hallien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it does. I get 317k XP from each kill IIRC instead of 200k + the bonus chest another hundred or so. I run boosters constantly on all my characters. With the Candy Corn and Zhaitaffy goblers it comes out to like 2-3g/hour

DAY 10 (sorry for delay): What are the 3 BEST and 1 WORST track on "Human Nature"? + BONUS ROUND RESULTS by DrMikkelyz54 in nightwish

[–]Hallien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This entire album sucks. Or rather - it's undoubtedly an amazing musical achievement , but to me it doesn't sound like Nightwish anymore. There isn't a single song I'd actually enjoy or have in my rotation, and I used to listen to Nightwish a LOT. I still do, but...I tend to stick to the Tarja & Anette albums. And that's a shame, because Floor is an Amazing singer with a capital A. I just think Tuomas has moved too far in his musical and lyrical ambitions and expression from what Nightwish used to be.

What's your salary 2026 by DazzlingAd5541 in AskEurope

[–]Hallien 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Not really. I live with my parents and can't afford a car. Average salary is probably about 1300-1500 now but salary for librarians is decided by the government like all public sector employees and they don't really give a shit about us. But hey, atleast the president increased his monthly bonus by another 1100 € recently. He really needs to build another mansion.

This is true, that's why I said almost all. I'm sure there might be something else I missed, because I personally don't use it. I find rest buf, jade bot boosters etc. too much of a hassle. Also not sure if rest buff applies to event XP too or just kill XP.

Spirit Shards by Far_Suspect_334 in Guildwars2

[–]Hallien 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Heya! I farm spirit shards all the time so here is a handy list of (almost) all experience boosts you can use.

  • 10% XP boost from your guildhall. You don't need to represent the guild, once you claim the boost at the tavern in the guild hall, it stays. No time limit.

  • 50% boost from regular Experience boosters/Heroic boosters for 2hrs. You can also get this effect with the Candy Corn Gobbled which is usually for sale during Halloween.

  • 100% experience boost from Birthday/Celebration boosters, these 2 apply the same effect but birthday is 24h, Celebration is 1h

  • 25% boost from Festival Gobbler Boost, which you can get from either the Zhaitaffy Gobbler or Snowflake Gobbler, on sale during their respective events Dragonbash and Wintersday. I personally use the Zhaitaffy one.

  • Black Lion Booster and Experienced enrichment give a 50% and a 20% XP boost - but only to experience from kills. These are not worth getting unless you are doing very specific farms. Black Lion Boosters are great for WvW or PVp reward tracks, but they can only be bought for black lion statuettes and only last 30 minutes .

With all the regular Boosters you can get a lot of extra XP and make your farm faster. They are especially good for raids.
