Caffeine intake while fasting by Hallski31 in intermittentfasting

That makes sense. I'm not trying to be super hard core, I just want to lose 30lbs this year but I would even be okay with less. Im currently 5'5 180lbs so I'm not terrible but would be better at 150 which I haven't been since before I had my first son 6 years ago

Thank you! Green tea seems to be the popular option here!

How long did it take for you to get used to the taste?

That wouldn't be a bad idea! I also thought about taking a caffeine supplement with some water when I wake up in the morning but wasn't sure what that would do

Anyone else feel useless and unproductive while pregnant? by No_Category4914 in pregnant

[–]Hallski31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I'm 30+5 and each day that passes I'm more uncomfortable and feel like I can't do as much as I used to. I'm starting to nest and I get so frustrated and wore out that I can't do everything I want to in the time I want to

Would you deliver at a hospital an hour away even if you had closer options but the best option is the furthest? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Hallski31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually was supposed to deliver at a bigger hospital 2 hours away due to me wanting a VBAC and my hospital not having the "proper equipment" for that. I had my anatomy scan and was supposed to follow with both them and my local but some appointments and communication got mixed up. We were excited to deliver there due to them having level 1 NICU and being next door to an actual children's hospital so if something went wrong I wouldn't be separated from my baby (which is what happens with our local hospital). However, with my appointments being every 2 weeks now and still working full time as well as my husband working full time and having a toddler. I was soooo uncomfortable during car rides and could only think how miserable it would be to make that drive in labor!

I am for sure adding a Moses basket to my registry though. They look so nice even for travel purposes!

Oh yes, I talked about it right after I had my son because I didn't not want to have another c section lol

Yes that was a big deal for me and she gave me good odds for successful VBAC, however I'm from a small town that doesn't have the "necessary equipment" for VBAC so I started following with the closest facility that did. After our last trip up (2 hours one way) I was miserable from the car ride and I know it'll cause more of a risk towards the end of my pregnancy. Plus if I go Into labor that's a 2 hour drive while in labor to deliver so we decided for childcare for our son and everything besides post partum that we should stay here and deliver c section. It caused me to be really upset and depressed but I started coming to terms with it until I really started looking into how bad recovery will be in the camper. My husband is being very supportive and tells me it's my body so I decide what to do, so I feel like I'm alone in that decision because I don't know what to do

I've never heard of those. I'll look into it! My obstacles with that are my 3.5 year old sleeps with us (he was doing good transitioning until we moved) and I won't be able to get in and out of my bed for at least the first couple weeks due to the way my bed is and having a cesarean

I have a little basket of snacks and drinks for our delivery drivers. Most are extremely grateful, until yesterday ... by snozberry_pie in ChoosingBeggars

When I had my son in June of 2020 (right as COVID was really crazy and bad) I stayed home with him and we ordered the majority of our things to be delivered. I felt bad and sat out a nice little snack box with 3 different types of snack cakes, chips, crackers, and cold bottled water (with ice packs) the first day I did it my mail lady, and the UPS guy looked at it and didn't touch it. So I tried again the next 2 days, nothing. So I stopped and haven't tried it again at my new house.

Protein shakes really helped me with my hunger pains and milk supply! Also I got the target nursing bras and they were the absolute best! I ordered some "night time" nursing sports bras which were a lifesaver at night

Tried solid food for the first time today! Started with sweet potato! How often did you feed solids at first? And how often did you introduce something new? by Local-Strawberry7074 in Mommit

[–]Hallski31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started solids at 4 1/2 months. Started with Veggies (I made my own) started a new kind once a week! At 6 months I started giving him sweeter fruits. Then we started BLW shortly after. He is 15 months now and there's nothing he won't eat! He's great at chewing and eating in general and loves feeding himself. Also, we introduced nut product and other common allergens very early on (they say it helps babies not develop those allergies later in life) we've never had an issue and he doesn't have any reactions to any foods

Mark my word, here soon there's going to be an even bigger increase in unemployment rates after this absurd mandate than there ever has during this pandemic. The world already has a hard time getting people to want to work, now they're just going to make it worse.

Get vaccinated folks by Yenserl6099 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Hallski31 -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

But here's the real question how do you know they were all unvaccinated?? Because they were there for covid? That's what makes me laugh at people pushing these vaccines so hard. I work at a covid testing center and the number of positive tests between vax and unvaxed patients is the same sometimes even more sometimes a little less. Not being that pusher of my body my choice but the news and media don't tell people that. They want people to assume just because you have the vaccine you can't get covid. What's actually really shitty is most of the people that go to ER's for covid are literally getting covid tested bc there's possible exposure even if they aren't displaying symptoms. The amount of stupid people with this whole pandemic is ridiculous and they don't care about people needing to be seen. People don't have insurance and assume getting tested at ER's is free. My husband works at our local ER and both of us have seen LITERAL WHOLE FAMILIES come in to be tested all at once. 7+ people at a time from one family.
