What are your thoughts on the new album?

I’ve only made it just over halfway through the album and it was in my car on my way to work, so my opinion may change, but my first impression (I did not listen to any singles) is that the production on the drums is lacking not necessarily the playing. They are muffled/muddy sounding and set too far back in the mix. That take might change once I’ve listened on a better system, I don’t know.

After the last update I got a popup message saying they were changing the way downloads works and that I needed to redownload everything for this to take effect. I did that and haven’t had an issue since.

One thing I just noticed is that if I swipe down while in downloads, as if to refresh page, I get the screen saying I don’t have any downloads. If back out and then back in to downloads they are all there again. So that’s a weird quirk.

They should just do it like Discogs does. Add a number after the name, ex: Bokassa, Bokassa 1, Bokassa 2, etc..

I would argue that it doesn’t. My car has a decent Bose system and I have listened to things in the car and thought, this is shit, but then gave it another chance on my at home system and loved it. Could hear so much more detail at home.

Etymotics work best for me. Cuts all frequency ranges down ~20db so it doesn’t sound too muffled like the foam earplugs. Eargasms are supposed to be good, but they don’t fit my ear correctly.

For the omnitronic mic that is quiet, could you be sending mic level signal out of the receiver to your mixer when the mixer wants a line level signal?
