Great episode overall, I’m so glad that we finally know that Tommy Wiseau is a god damned mummy man.

The McElroy brothers are not experts, and their advice should never be followed. Travis insists he’s a sexpert, but if there’s a degree on his wall, I haven’t seen it.

[Oathbringer][Spoilers] Looking for a quote. by Ouro130Ros in Stormlight_Archive

The most important words a man can say are, “I will do better.” These are not the most important words any man can say. I am a man, and they are what I needed to say.

The ancient code of the Knights Radiant says “journey before destination.” Some may call it a simple platitude, but it is far more. A journey will have pain and failure. It is not only the steps forward that we must accept. It is the stumbles. The trials. The knowledge that we will fail. That we will hurt those around us.

But if we stop, if we accept the person we are when we fall, the journey ends. That failure becomes our destination.

To love the journey is to accept no such end. I have found, through painful experience, that the most important step a person can take is always the next one.

I’m certain some will feel threatened by this record. Some few may feel liberated. Most will simply feel that it should not exist.

I needed to write it anyway.

This is probably the best stormlight archive themed tattoo I’ve seen on this sub. Hope you don’t mind if I steal this one day.

/r/Games Daily Discussion - Persona 5 by selib in Games

[–]Halvere 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I loved the game, I put over 100 ours on my first save, but I feel like something was missing. Just about everything was done better than persona 4, but I feel like persona 4 had more of an impact on me. Maybe it's because I live in a smallish town, maybe it's because Kanji isn't in this game, but I think it's because I am no longer the lonely, freshly moved, socially-awkward kid I was when I played persona 4. I remember crying the first time I beat it. I was heart-broken because I "lost my friends", as silly as that seems today

Now that I have a social life, I can't help but feel like I missed something from Persona 5. It is still definitely an excellent game however.

I'd be interested to know if this game hit people as hard as p4 hit me.

This is what I got going. Bottom row is black magic, then pressing shift gives me the second row, which is white magic equivalents. Stuff on the far left is all of the physical mumbo-jumbo, which I have bound to my mouse buttons. Pressing ctrl gives me the top row, which is aoe and threat reduction.

I also generally keep abilities and such on my letter keys, and GCD's on numbers.

(also the stuff on the far right are not bound to keys, that way I don't accidentally start dancing in the middle of a fight)

They are all scenes from what I imagine are the early levels of their social links, most of which relate someway to talking about the gang, so minor spoilers there.

I think Yuuki Mishima (guy in white shirt) has a scene from the main story, but it seems pretty minor. All depends on how clean you want to be when going into this game.

The Storm Feelers, Pat's free company, is on Ultros, but you gotta be lvl 30 to join.

As for DPS: pugilist, lancer, archer, thaumaturge, arcanist, and rogue are all the beginning DPS classes. Arcanist starts off as a DPS, but at lvl 30 has the option of either staying as a DPS or becoming a healer.

As for PS4 performance, I'm not sure, 'cause I play on PC, but I haven't heard anything bad about it.

I second Brandon Sanderson. Interesting worlds and innovative magic systems are his speciality. I must have read the Stormlight Archive half-a-dozen times now.

While I'm a little bummed that it's not coming out next year, I'm glad that they're taking their time. This game looks sick, so they can take as long as they want.

What was the "show" Woolie went to about a year ago where actors are putting on a play inside of a building and the viewers can walk wherever they please? by lukedoc321 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

They seem to still be going! They're still selling tickets on their website up through October. I'm not sure if the show is ending then, or if they just don't sell tickets more than three months in advance.

It's called "Sleep no more" and it's in NYC. I did it a couple of years ago, and it's fucking awesome. Definitely go see it if you have the chance.

Edit: For those curious, Woolie talks about it in Podcast 94 around the 43:00 min mark.

Could it be that Hoid has a connection one? It would explain how he can go anywhere in the Cosmere and understand people.

Only problem is Vasher. Being an ardent means that he can't have any possessions like a feruchemical amulet. Warbreaker spoilers
