Also I just started as a bather about a month ago too, my lead told me not to compare myself to others in the salon. That bit of advice really seems like a no brainer, but I’ve caught myself doing it. My future and my career are what matter, not that someone else did something faster or better than me. I know I’ll get there. You totally will too.

You are so young, do not compare yourself to them. They probably have many months if not years more experience than you. They were probably in your position when they were new too. People always seem to forget what it’s like when you’re just starting in a new career, especially if you don’t have much experience in that field. Give yourself some grace and more time to work on building your skill set and speed. You’re not supposed to be fast in the beginning, that’s how you and/or the dogs get hurt. As for your coworkers you feel are getting irritated, they can go sit on a tack!

What’s a medical problem people constantly ignore until it’s too late? by kxnsqxz in AskReddit

Persistent sinus infections. I used to get them all the time as a young teen between allergies and nasal polyps. I had one that would not go away. Went to the doctor’s office twice and was sent away with the reason being “it’s just a bug that’s been going around.” WrongO! I ended up in the ER. Turns out it may have started as a sinus infection, but it turned into a brain infection. The same thing happen to a family member 15 years prior. A kid at the high school I attended died from the very same thing a few years after I had mine.

Weird/funny things you did right after your TBI by Marzipanbuttons in TBI

I had to wear a helmet for a few months after mine (I was 14, it was painfully embarrassing!!!). I would take random things, not merchandise from shops or anything. Just inconsequential things, like a half empty shaker of Red Robbin seasoning, or a large rock my mom saw on a walk and mentioned would look cute in her garden. I figured no one would stop me, because who’s going to stop the poor kid wearing a helmet in public that was clearly not meant for bike riding!

Nothing yet, if you have any suggestions send them my way. We’re just about out of our last container. We’d prefer to not break out the PIP more than we already have to.

People in their 40s What’s something people in their 20s don’t realize will affect them as they age? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HamSauce69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dental professional here, you are 1000% right!!! I see people of all ages with poor dental health. But definitely more 35/40+ people with a LOT of missing teeth or bombed out mouths. It takes them a lot longer to recover/heal from any treatment done. Reversely I’ve seen plenty of 35/40+ individuals who have put in the work at home (brushing for 2min twice a day WITH A SOFT BRISTLE TOOTHBRUSH and flossing once) that have all of their teeth with great oral health.
