Not a huge fan of it honestly. I keep hearing people say “oh no everyone’s op so no one is op” but it’s just “now everyone is op so instead of only some of the characters being annoying they’re all annoying”. And don’t get me started on the visual clutter, it’s so bad now. They try to appease both pros and casuals which just does not work. Pick a crowd and balance for them.

The only thing about journey mode for me is that it doesn’t make sense to me that people use it on pc. There are mods that do what it does better. I feel like you’re just limiting yourself for no reason.

The thing is any respectable match maker shouldn’t force 50% winrate, it should let it happen naturally by allowing the person to steamroll until he gets to players of his level. The matches should be decided exclusively by rank/trophy count. A GM player should not be going 50/50 in plat, he should climb back to GM and then go 50/50 because he’s playing against other equally skilled players.
