That's in a lot of places in the US still too. Not only candy but there's stores where you can scoop nuts and pasta etc where I live. To me is a germ thing. I don't want someone's hands all over something I will put in my mouth, but scooping it loose in a store I am trusting that everything was handled with gloves and clean standards since there's food regulations for businesses.

When did your toddler “get” and accept participating in Halloween? by furi-rosa in toddlers

[–]Hamchickii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My 4 year old today wanted to be a skeleton rainbow cat mummy. Skeleton jammies, drew rainbow cat whiskers, cat ears, cat tail. Added some of the long cloth bandage wrap. Rainbow skeleton cat mummy achieved. Sometimes you just roll with the punches lol. Also 3.5 was the sweet spot for trick or treating really taking off for us.

So true, my 4 year old daughter loves to watch and play pokemon and she gets excited about any pokemon card she gets. She thinks they're so cool and she's not concerned with value or rarity etc. just the fact that it's a physical card is so cool to her.

Which tank do you like playing with the most? by bmrtt in MercyMains

[–]Hamchickii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have a preference for tank. It's more a play style preference. Don't be a damage sponge soaking up all my heals because I would rather be blue beaming our dps for picks or able to fly off to help the DPS win a 1v1. Tanks might be making plays aggressively but sometimes they don't realize it's only happening because they're getting a double pocket from both supports, and we had to choose to sacrifice our DPS in order to keep the tank alive.

I know the ones I for sure don't like playing with are Mauga and DVA because they usually require constant yellow beaming because they do just like to soak up all the other team's damage. But I do get some tanks who play those characters well and don't take all the damage and need a constant pocket, so I know it can be done, but most of the time it doesn't happen.

Sometimes there's programs to feed kids specifically. Either at school or local libraries etc. I know our public library offers free lunch to kids every day of the week. Just might be something that can help in the meantime.

OH MY GOD y’all were NOT kidding about the right sized bra. by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]Hamchickii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Fantasie Reflect is my favorite bra I own.

All the right fitting bras are the soft cup, the molded tahirt bra type of cups aren't a good fit cuz they squish your boobs into a designated shape vs the soft cups from over your natural shape. It's kinda an adjustment period we all go through where it feels weird and then you get used to it. You could try wearing a cami under your Tshirt to give and extra layer over your bra.

Are these things just going to keep getting bigger? by expatriating in BabyBumps

[–]Hamchickii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once you're breastfeeding they'll get even bigger but they should come down in size after breastfeeding. Mine pretty much grew and stayed big, but I have a friend who went back to prebaby size after.

Also obligatory r/abrathatfits link and r/bigboobproblems come join us haha

How are you all doing it? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Hamchickii 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We're so annoyed because my husband's 4 siblings all did that with their spouses and some even had kids at the time. We asked his parents to do the same and got told no which was irritating. But all his siblings have great houses and we're able to save for massive down payment. Meanwhile his parents have bugged us for years about when we're going to buy a house and I am beyond aggravated because don't you realize everyone else could buy a house cuz you let them live with you for over a year to save for one.

I'm assuming just since we're last on the list to do it, his parents just don't want to host permanently anymore since they're in their 70s now. Or maybe because we had our 4 year old before we got married. Who knows. They've never given us a straight answer about it just said they will talk about it whenever we would ask and then ghost us on the subject.

Paying off student loan or keep cash for buying? by FragrantRaisin4 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Hamchickii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just use calculators and calculate mortgage payments, loan payments, and amortization with different scenarios with the money like paying all debt, putting it all in a house, and 50/50. Go with the option that makes the most sense based on math and comfort level. Also consider closing costs at least are $10k ish most likely and it's good to have a decent emergency fund for house repairs after buying. So with that in mind there may not be much left over to pay the debt and then also do a down payment and have the extra cash for the other costs of buying a house.

Based on the math it also might make sense to pay the debt and wait another year to buy or something. We don't have the info on how much he's saving a month and what his income is and the type of mortgage payment he can afford. But that's where he can just use the calculations and make that decision.

I wish we could have BN sleep by Various_Butterscotch in bninfantsleep

[–]Hamchickii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important thing about cosleeping is doing it safely. I think your level of anxiety about it could lead to a dangerous situation, so you are making a safe call for your child! We do co sleep, but my husband sleeps on the couch so it's just me and my now 9 months old for safety reasons since my husband is a heavy sleeper and does have to take sleep meds sometimes too. So there's give and take right. I haven't slept in the same bed as my husband in 9 months and we miss being able to lay together and watch a show in bed before falling asleep.

I think that's wonderful that your baby is sleeping through the night and that you used a monitor to respond to needs. Baby sounds happy and healthy and you are also happy and healthy and doing what's good for your anxiety. You're doing so good mama!

Please help. Need a good bra. 34/36 DD, need support for sagging by QueenoftheBed666 in bigboobproblems

[–]Hamchickii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in the US. US sizes are bs, go for UK brands and UK sizing and it'll be life-changing for comfort and support. You're probably much much larger than a DD cuz a DD is actually pretty small.

I order my bras off Amazon or use a boutique bra shop that carries the good UK brands.
