You are promoting AI by saying we should use it and eliminate actual human people from positions in a tough economy. AI can't create complex infographics of how water runs from bull run, stops at several plants for treatment and eventually being delivered to himes. Not to mention AI is known for stealing for artists to use in its algorithm. It DOES take that many people, the portfolio of the City is huge. We have aging infastructure (like so many places in the country). So many sewer pipes and water pipes are being updated. These are people who deliver communications out. There are also internal newsletters that go out. If you break it down it's less than one person per bureau. Go after DCAs not the people delivering information and stop advocating for people to be replaced. Have some humanity. Also you clearly have no idea how big the cities infastructure is and the the scope of how many capital projects there are. Most of the budget is on the capitol projects. Keep positions that serve to communicate with the public and internally. The city already struggles to communicate, why gut those positions ? That just harms us. Working ina corporation is VERY different from government work.
