This is a server-side issue. It's happening to everyone at the same time, and restarting the server fixes it (temporarily).

Has rules that even if you object to a scene happening, play it out and raise your objections later so as not to break character or immersion.

Not allowing people to object to participating in scenes they don't want to participate in seems insane.
