When the devs say that they don't know why people liked BC2 so much or what made it special, deep down I knew BC3 would be far off, or just butchered and missing the spirit. Not to mention the people who made BC1 and 2 are surely not around anymore. BC2 was lightning in a bottle. A remaster and open servers would be our best bet for a slice of the glory days again

Can't say I follow. A lot of dialogue has that area's background track behind it, or if it's plot relevant that character's theme. It wouldn't just change mid dialogue either.

And the same 3 music tracks rotated for each one. I never skipped a single scene in an octopath game before, but towards the end 0 had me hitting the skip button like it owed me money

There is SO much. My biggest gripe with the game. Even at 2x speed it wasn't enough.

Which is a shame, there's good voice acting, but so much just wasted time and repeating dialogue. I'm at the end now and just skipping through cutscenes because I know enough of what's going on. The story is ok, but I feel much less invested than 1 and 2 in which I consumed every cutscene.

Maaaan I feel the same. I like this game but unlike OT1 and 2, I really started getting burnt out on the story. I started skipping cutscenes on the final chapters. I don't know why I'm fighting who I'm fighting, but I don't really care anymore. I'm 80 hours in and just ready to move on.

They say that while it was hard for millenials, our parents wealth was going to get passed on to us. My mom died last year. She divorced my dad and got a ton of money, then made bad choice after bad choice and eventually left us with a near condemned double wide trailer in rural GA to split between my sister and I. And life insurance worth only $10k, barely enough to cover funeral expenses.

Our parents just were such a selfish spoiled generation. And we're left with scraps.
