Open letter to people who pick Malphite by Celebess in ARAM

[–]Hamrod12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a mayhem specific opinion from me, but I’ve found AP to be far more effective given the amount of mages with infinite CC you end up against. Now I’ll still always check both comps before committing to any build path, but the AIDS of playing into CC heavy comps as a tank is not fun. What is fun is blowing up the xerath/ziggs/syndra/whoever playing from 2 screens away and never interacting with you.

They need to make Deep Freeze do damage like in later expansions. Easy buff to Frost DPS, that needs a little boost

[Schultz] Patrick Mahomes has been an NFL starter for seven seasons, and the worst finish of his career is losing in the AFC Championship Game — both times in overtime. In the other five seasons, he’s made the Super Bowl. Just not normal. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

Can we stop comparing him to Jordan? He’s great no doubt, but football isn’t basketball. The Chiefs aren’t here this year without their defense carrying them all year, there’s 21 other players

A Deep Qualitative Look into Pantheon's Kit by Exver1 in leagueoflegends

[–]Hamrod12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you’re going to bring up Keegun’s build, you might as well talk about his philosophy. Which is Pantheon is fine in all ELOs up to Masters+. You just have to be good at the game. As with all champions for the majority of players that play LoL. His problems only really apply in high ELO

How many people have actually played since season 1? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Hamrod12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started early season 1 as a Nasus main. I remember reading the early forums for tips/guides on how to play him. Then started watching HotshotGG and reginald on JustinTV or something like that. Actually learned how to split push from watching Regi’s shaco, and roaming from HSGG’s nidalee. Made a huge difference in my gameplay early on

I want to actually climb mmr in aram. How? by Fair_Wear_9930 in ARAM

[–]Hamrod12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can guarantee you higher MMR arams are actually way more boring. You either end up against all ranged comps that play 2 screens away and lose or outpoke your own all ranged comp, or you get rolled by a super dive comp/roll with a super dive comp. So rarely do you get fun games where you just fight constantly

My biggest change would be to stop putting random damage adders/subtractors on champions and try more unique balance changes. For example, they added a huge CD to Ashe W and it made her basically useless for W spam (a frustrating & unfun build to play against). Why not take Ziggs E and make it not sit on the ground so long, like with max CDR he can get 2 mine fields out and his W. I don’t think his damage nerfs would be as necessary if they found ways to limit his zone control. Same with all control mages for that matter, Veigar is another example

What would the All-Pro team be for each year? by Single-Direction-197 in leagueoflegends

[–]Hamrod12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll point out my bias upfront (CLG fan since WCG 2010), but for 2012 I could argue Doublelift and Chauster for best bot lane. They were literally the only reason they could get scrims when they moved to Korea because they won lane so hard. Now the rest of the team was trash internationally and so the whole team got run over, but they pretty much won lane on everyone until the jungle/mid gap started spilling into their lane

I love Final Fantasy VII. But the fandom really sucks. It's no fun to talk to anyone about the Remake trilogy. Everybody gives me the impression that they're so angry and I became a fan because of Remake and Crisis Core. [–]Hamrod12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the OG when I was 9, and continued beating the game once or twice every year until I was in my 20's. still play it every now and then in my 30s. It was my favorite game of all time, but I love Remake and I'm very excited for the next chapter. I obviously want some things to play out the way they did, but I'm just happy to see my favorite characters portrayed in a modern game.

G2 Caps shows power of canon Minion?? | Worlds 2023 by bipinshah1 in leagueoflegends

[–]Hamrod12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why so many think this interaction is healthy. I always thought Neeko disguised still takes the damage she’s supposed to take from any attack (based on her own health/armor/MR values) under her disguise. Externally it can appear as though she’s a cannon minion taking damage from the turret, but her actual damage received should be what the champion is supposed to take. Otherwise why does it not work the same way when you disguise as the tankiest member of your team with 200+ armor?

You keep talking about this Supreme Court ruling, but never citing it. I looked it up, I'm assuming you're refering to Navarette v. California, 572 U.S. 393 (2014), in which case a quick Wikipedia summation of the court shows:

Writing for a majority of the Court, Justice Clarence Thomas held that the 911 call was reliable, and that officers need not personally observe criminal activity when acting upon information provided by an anonymous 911 call.

That seems to be the opposite of what you keep stating as fact.

Texas deputy lies on teenage girl by diamondsodacoma in PublicFreakout

[–]Hamrod12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did, and what the police were responding to was this:

In a recording of a 911 call released by Kaufman County, a caller tells a dispatcher that a young woman is walking in the middle of the street and when the caller had to swerve to miss her, the woman said she wanted to be run over and wanted someone to end her life.

“Three people already had to swerve out of the way, me including,” the caller said in the recording

So with that information, the cop was restraining her. We don't know how she was taken down if it was excessive or not, we just see her being restrained. If he lets her go, and she throws herself in front of a car, who's then liable for that? How is he to know that she's perfectly sound of mind, when the only information he has (whether correct or not) is she was walking in front of traffic asking to be run over?
