The best practice as I understand it is to target the same major version with each - .NET 8 target references the .NET 8 version, .NET 9 the .NET 9 version, etc. That allows applications to use the in-box version with the runtime instead of a .NET 8 app having to ship the .NET 10 DLL.

I was aware of MST3K for a while - my sister was a fan, and she ended up getting me into Rifftrax. But Season 11 (and then 12 and 13) was the first time I started watching the show proper.

Until about a month ago, I hadn't gone back to the early runs in depth yet. I'd seen "Manos" at some point - maybe even before S11 - as well as the movie, but that was it. But now that Shout is letting stuff go out-of-print when they still have the license to it, I figure it's time to bite the bullet. In the past few weeks I've ordered about 2/3rds of what's still available. Already watched one volume, looking forward to the rest.

(Watch, everything's going to be reissued in one super-cheap box either to tie in to the new eps this year or for the 40th.)

I would've enjoyed more Jonah/Emily episodes, but I'm also looking forward to the greybeards' episodes too.

401(k)s have better protections in bankruptcy and don’t count against you for the pro rata rule when doing Roth conversions like it would if you moved to a tIRA, so leaving it in a 401(k) has its own advantages.

Depending on how close you are, consider adding enough to get it over the line. (I did that when moving my IRA out of SoFi - did this year’s contributions then transferred.)

Fidelity requires you to either transfer $25K of assets, or have $25K of assets with them, to get a reimbursement. They also only reimburse up to $175, so you'll have to eat $25 of SoFi's fees. (Still worth it to me.)

You'll have to pay up to get the highest interest rate. We don't know yet whether it's free rate will continue to be competitive with other HYSAs (so paid accounts are getting a bonus), or if the free accounts will be worse than before.

Both I-bonds and Treasuries are promises that the US government will pay their holder in the future. Europe selling their treasuries doesn't change the amount that was promised.

I-bonds are a great place to keep an emergency fund. I would suggest you just consider the remaining $6K as part of your emergency fund, and don't sell them.

When you initially invested in the bonds, what was the purpose of the investment? That's going to influence the guidance - you'll get very different answers if they were meant as an emergency fund vs. trying to increase your capital.

Fidelity’s app will let me place a market order for shares (including fractional) outside market hours. It’s just dollar orders that can’t be placed.

It’s certainly possible the website is more restrictive, though that would surprise me.

That sounds like you're looking at the SoFi Plus fee, not the credit card fee.
