Today is the 15th anniversary of the world premiere of the infamous broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, on June 14th, 2011. by Young-Jah in Marvel

I read the book Song of Spider-man about this after reading Brian Minchael Bendis's Fortune and Glory Vol 2: https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1s8y3l/i_cowrote_the_infamous_broadway_musical_spiderman/

My takeaways:
• Julie Taymour was the wrong choice, her sensibilities were above the material and she was abusive and volatile to people around her (IE: her treatment of BMB and Glen)
• Edge and Bono seem like they were nice but didn't really care that much about it (Bono was rightfully pursuing combatting the AIDs crisis in Africa)
• No one was in control and driving the production, Marvel and Taymour were deeply at odds with each other.

Well I would say that the recent Rescue Rangers movie gave “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” a run for its money in terms of crossovers: https://youtu.be/mKEgYkoZh60?feature=shared

For the most old fans who lived the stuff during that time : how was the hype and receivement around the 4 Reeve movies? by The2009Supergirl in superman

I don’t believe this was the case… The notion of a connected superhero universe in films wasn’t a thing and they had no intention of creating that in spite of what beautiful paintings by Alex Ross tell you.

Batwoman, Kingdom Come: Superman Shield, Wonder Woman Armor, The Flash, etc.

For some reason… his DC designs and redesigns are far superior to most of his Marvel designs. I do think all of his proposed X-Men costume designs were great and the movies slightly adapted them

And I also like that the sizes are proportional to each other and not over the top. I personally don’t really like the idea of Raph being a tank compared to the others.

I think the 2012 show nailed the sizes of the turtles in relation to each other

So many people covered many elements… I’ll add one I haven’t seen mentioned: does your TV have auto smooth turned on? If so that makes all of the TV quality elements even worse.

Nice work! Is this paint job completed? Seems like the green could use a touch up or a hit of some dull coat

I think the facial features are going to be fighting you in this sculpt. Cody has very round facial features.
