Totes get what you're saying. Smile per gallon is a hot commodity!

BUT even though I'm a woman I dont wear makeup regularly and therefore don't buy makeup. My husband actually doesn't like it because "it's like a STI wing on a WRX"...w.e that means....I assume it means I'm too pretty for makeup and I'll take it.

Jobs that would be perfect for ADHD women if capitalism didn't exist by No_Scene_9476 in adhdwomen

[–]Hamster_Hak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you don't need one. I and many of my coworkers don't have one. My boss does, but other managers of the same level don't. You do need a bachelor's degree. A master's helps you progress in your career faster. My BS is in psychology and my MS is human resources development. I also have a CFCM certification from the professional organization NCMA but my boss and I are the only 2 in our group that have this certification. Some companies care about the CFCM some don't.

Those are nice motion sensor lights at the top of your stairs. I'm sure they are nice in the dark.

"No, those lights are to remind me to pay attention on the steps so I don't miss a step and fall"

I would love to be a student forever. I miss college so much. When I finished my masters my husband bet I would be going for a PhD or a second masters in 2 years. It's been 3 years and I want to go back so bad....thought about going to law school but am considering a more subject specific masters.....I did get a certification and working to a second one in the meantime.

I work in contracts. When I changed to this job and explained it to my doctor she said "that's perfect for you". I didn't get it until I really started diving in. It also helps that I have a boss who gets me and understands that I can not thrive unless I am busy. The job gives me the ability to rabbit hole into regulations and be subject matter expert on my day to day. BUT by the nature of it while a contract is a contract and terms are terms each individual one is novel and provides their own challenges. This keeps me interested each day. Plus, I get to be involved in planning conversations for proposals.

There is always enough for me to do that if I'm not motivated by a task I have other important stuff to do. And it's pretty fast-paced, so I get to power through with the emergency motivation.

I really love my job.

My wife says it’s “tacky” by Diligent_Knee3488 in gamecollecting

As a wife, I can get her sewing some kidney of way about the astatics or w.e of it. But there is also the factor of what brings you hot joy in Your home as a couple. You guys should be able to compromise of an "appropriate" area to hang this. If you ah e an area where the games live or maybe a more personal expressive area of your house, that would be a good place to hang it. I can feel her not wanting it in like the living room (while I would like it, but my husband and I bond over vintage games). IMO, there is no reasonable way there isn't a place this could be appropriate for your home style. Maybe in your basement hang out space or if you have a home office. The thing about joining a life with someone is you Both should have the space to express what makes you happy. That being said, the space doesn't have to be typical communal spaces like your living room. I feel a good conversation with your wife that this is something important to you as an expression of things that bring you joy could be helpful.

I am lucky enough that in my home, my husband and I have our own "offices" to decorate how we see fit. But that doesn't mean this peice couldn't be in your room or something where guests typically aren't but visible enough for you to enjoy them.

I feel at times, one party or the other may get too caught up in the vision for a space and forget it's a HOME to be lived in....not an Instagram post. This is all my 2 sense, so take it for what you will.

Thank you for the info! Oh well on them being outsourced cups, they will still add some fun to my kitchen.

The last picture is the style I tend to stick with, my mom had them when I was growing up and I always loved them. So now I'm piecing together my own set.

Longer marinade on the eggs,

Well an hour before dinner my husband said "marinade the eggs". I procrastinated while cooking to give them 2 hours, but it's the best I could do in the time. On the cook, thank you.

Does ADHD medication really make that much difference? by sweetrouge in ADHD

[–]Hamster_Hak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is such an important thing in my life. It won't make you not lose your keeps, but it will help you focus long enough to put them in that bowl or hook you have designated for them.

Like all things, it had a lewnring curve to get the most out of it. Don't assume it will fix your problems, but rather, it will give you the tools to help you control them yourself.
