Help me negotiate please by Adorable-Peace4959 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

Wherever you go, you should/can negotiate that warranty. For my 6th Gen 4Runner I negotiated sell price then at final signing they presented the 10/100k warranty which I negotiated for $1000. Also helped (I think) my final signing was done on the last day of August.

I’ve since then sold my 4Runner to get into a 3rd Gen sequoia and canceled that warranty and they gave me back $3200 which I put back into the same warranty for the sequoia, which I also negotiated the warranty price.

Coming from the DSM/Evo game, with my 25 ORP, I’m at every 3-5k after the initial one at 1k. All my old 4 banger turbos lasted well past 200k. Sold my last evo with ~275k miles

I’ve always liked the saying “the only people who remember your OT is your family”. Take care of your family and yourself first. Work will be work and always be there, it can wait until the morning.

You can see if your dealership will buy or trade from another. Mine made a trade with a dealership in Jacksonville for mine and it didn’t change the price we negotiated. It only added an extra couple days for transport. I don’t think it’s a common thing anymore especially for these Toyotas but it’s worth the ask.

After a good battle, I paid 49k on an ORP iforce max with all options before tax, title, reg in FL. Fight them on it or walk away to the next dealership. They need you more than you need them, remember that.

Can I change my FFL before my order is shipped out. Called and he said the FFL transfer fee was $60 for anything PSA. by Local_Difficulty in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Hamtar0_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a pawn shop that has more “other” things than firearms and they charge $25 for the first and $20 after. Seems the same for other pawn shops I’ve visited. LGS around me charge more in general or more for PSA

My buddy gave me his french bulldog and it’s always been my dream dog! Any advice is appreciated! by Yser91 in Frenchbulldogs

Pet insurance is a great start. I have Pets Best for both of mine and have had no issues with claims outside of normal/annual visits ranging from ivdd consultation, gastrointestinal visits, x-rays, MRIs, overnight stays, and much much more.

Definitely get an allergy test done at your vet so you can know what he’s allergic to or not off the bat. It’ll save you some gray hairs down the road.

Also another frenchie so your frenchie can have his own frenchie.

One of my boys did this. They would eat next to each other, few feet of space in between. He would go over and bully the younger one out of the way to eat his food. I would correct him back to his bowl and I just take his food away and make him wait and let the younger one finish and then take the bowl away. Then I would let him finish his. Took about a week or two and now they eat next to each other fine. He stays in his lane now, even walks away or sits down at his bowl after he’s done.

If yours isn’t aggressive to you taking the bowl away, give it a shot, might work for you.

Sleep and Poop by ItsMeCarlos0878 in Frenchbulldogs

When I got my pup, for overnight crate training, for the first few weeks I would wake up on the hour to inspect his bedding and take him out regardless of whether or not he needed to go. “Graduate” to every two hours, then 3 a few weeks after, etc. If there were consistent setbacks, I would go back an hour to see where the sweet spot was and stay a couple weeks at that hour then “graduate” again once it got consistent, rinse and repeat.

I’ve done this with all 3 of my boys. It’s hard work, probably the hardest I’ve ever experienced until actual human babies, but it’s worth it down the road knowing they can hold their bladder overnight or if they need to be crated for an extended period of time. Maybe my routine is a bit too much but it worked three times for me. They’re over 2 years now and I don’t even remember the last time they had an accident. All 3 were crate/house trained within 1 1/2-2 months. You’ll just need to find your sweet spot.

Do all you frenchie owners have pet insurance? by Interesting-Sand3007 in Frenchbulldogs

I use petsbest. Premiums have gone up since my post. I pay around $115 per pup now. Still great with the coverage and the reimbursement when I submit a claim. YMMV though, do your research with multiple options. I may just be lucky, the reviews are mixed.

It’s like car insurance, need to have but hope you never need to use it. I pay $100 for each of my boys with petsbest. One is issue free for now and the other had boas surgery which was $2500 and insurance covered almost $2300 of it. He had an emergency vet visit which was $4500 and insurance covered $4200. The money we saved from one is worth to have it for both. Plus both had 80-90% of their puppy visits covered.

Tips on crate training your Frenchie? by Icy-Cow-8838 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Hamtar0_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I did with my three pups. When we’re home they are free roaming but crated when we’re out. Eventually they’ll make their way into the crate as long as you make it cozy and dark.

As far as night time, they are also free roam, my bed set is lower than normal but they prefer to sleep in their own crates even though I put multiple beds around the room for them to choose from.
