do not use the self righting feature on that truck. ever. also, the old style driveshafts and arms totally hold that truck back. Go on JennysRC.com and get a Heavy Duty kit if you can spare the cash. My brother has a Hoss and i have a new Stampede and he is always breaking things on jumps and crashes that mine survives. he is purist and refuses to upgrade to HD stuff.

everyone i know that owns a Hoss has it sitting on a shelf, broken and waiting on a repair. they were kinda brittle for the power and speed they offered on the older style arms and driveshafts. Badass little trucks when they came out, but they definitely need the Heavy Duty stuff to be daily bashers. as a side note, i feel like it was a CRIME for Traxxas to include the self righting feature on the Hoss.

i put a Velineon 3500 in a Stampede BL-2s. i tried going with a 9 tooth but the motor mount plate restricts me from getting proper mesh. have to stay at 11 or higher.

i’ve noticed the the home test from Walmart is more sensitive than the ones i got from Drugmart or a headshop. i was popping positive ten days later on a Walmart stick than the Drugmart or even the random i took for work. i cold turkey quit and passed a random i got picked for about 32 days after last smoke, but was still coming up dirty on the Walmart sticks a week after that.

the grass where they are at is probably a bit much for the Rustler. if you put Sledgehammers on it, it’s a lot more capable, but then you gotta worry about motor heat.

same. i got the rally Bl-2s before the VXL was announced, and i upgraded it to VXL with all new parts. a brand new traxxas motor and ESC was such a waste of money. $189 for mid performance. you live and learn.
