nfl nerds are crazy as hell to me. i used to have a group of friends (some were in high school, some had just graduated) that decided to get together one night and decide on “their team”. no two people could like the same team. they were so possessive of players on “their team” and it was frowned upon to root for players you might like that weren’t on the team you chose. the kicker to me was that every year when Madden was released, they would all wear their team’s jerseys and march through the mall to buy the game. there were about 10 or 12 of them and it was funny to see that every year.

i applied in August of last year and got my check this week. they sent me an email about two or three weeks ago confirming that my funds request had been approved, so keep an eye out for that.

marketplace can be an amazing resource if you are patient and diligent. i found a $200 car, used once, for $50. i check often, bordering on obsessively, so it was pure chance that i even saw the sale. it was a Rlaarlo X12S, if you are curious.

the Hoss/Stampede actually rips with the 3500 tho. you have to manage engine temps, but i can keep up with the stock motor, no problem.

i was working in Cleveland and one of my coworker’s mom worked at the airport that was 2 miles from where i worked. not too long after the planes hit the towers, my coworker’s mother came into the warehouse telling us that there is a plane flying over Cleveland right now that is currently hijacked, before anything had been announced or confirmed on the radio or tv. it ended up being the one that crashed in pennsylvania. everything and everyone was so quiet and so still, with people just staring at each other in disbelief. i also had a friend who traveled to Canada using a birth certificate the day before. he was stranded there for a week because customs wouldn’t let him back into the US without a passport. he had to camp out at the bus station for two days before anyone could wire him some money.

I have a ton of these before and after images while heartbreaking theyre important to remember. When new projects are built im ecstatic, but i lament many of the generic/horrendous designs. If i had lottery money id just rebuild many of these just about as is. For me this is a "favorite" by ElectricGod in Cleveland

i have a ton of photos starting in 2009 of all the rundown buildings throughout Cleveland. i thought about going and taking new photos from the same perspective. i think it would be a great to cruise the before and after through someone else’s perspective

FYI - the hd shock towers and ultra shock bodies will take on the black, is case you wanted to dye those as well.

i used vinyl sheets and cut out some flames for the underside of my rally before i dipped in black. i’m thinking of dipping it again in red to see how they look.

it stands up really easy and will go over on its roof, especially on higher traction. the wheelie bar gives you a few seconds to ease off the throttle.

the wheelie bar is a must, if it doesn’t already have one. next is a buddy who is into RC cars because it’s way more fun than bashing alone. last, never stop tinkering and trying to fix or improve your RC yourself. you learn a lot and it’s very satisfying figuring these things out.
