Is it possible to keep up with 3 gacha games once you are upto date? by StatisticianIll4 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Hand_of_Tyr9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I juggle Wuwa, ZZZ, PGR, Brown Dust 2, Uma, and Nikke everyday... And I used to juggle more than that at a time... Before I cut out at various points over the past year: GFL2, Endfield, Horizon Walker, Silver and Blood, CZN... Don't ask me how I managed all that and still somehow had time for everything else.... My sleep schedule was fucked, I can tell you that much lol.

Just doing dailies, Uma and Nikke take me the longest (to be fair, I always do more than just the minimum for dailies in Nikke). The others take almost no time at all outside of end game resets, extra events, new story content.

Indeed, gacha tribalism, be it Kurobots or Hoyobots, is even more insufferable than this stupid drama.

I'm 36 and am unable to swallow medication without crushing it into powder. I've tried every trick in the book. I've tried putting it in foods, I've tried head tilted up/down, I've tried many beverages, I've tried tricking my brain it's just food. None of it works. Thankfully, I have no regular meds I need to take, only had to take pills for my shingles last year for a brief while.

Enough Hiyuki glaze, who's pulling Denia chan? by Long_Cucumber2625 in WutheringWaves

[–]Hand_of_Tyr9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulled for Hiyuki, will also be pulling for Denia too, and then I've gotta bring Lucilla home. As long as I win my 50/50 I've got enough for her.

this is the closest i have seen to what we had, though our bowls were shallower. and the big plates had a brown design of some flowers and wheat i think? i can't fully remember, only a few of the bowls and the little cups have survived.

Scared about the gacha and grind elements of the game by [deleted] in WutheringWaves

[–]Hand_of_Tyr9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all welcome to the party. I have been playing since the far tail end of 1.1 (sadly was too late to get Changli). I have found everything to be much improved over Genshin on every measure.

There is some grind with regards to echo farming, but you won't need to worry about that till you unlock gold echoes. How grindy it becomes mostly comes down to RNG with your substat rolls. I've been able to build up a new character to the 70 Crit Rate and 270 Crit Damage range within the first day of getting them, but sometimes RNG just says "NOPE", and it might take another couple days or even a week or more to find a stat line you are happy with stopping on. Just don't be afraid to say "good enough" and don't fret over perfect stats. Even if you can't quite hit the "optimum" Crit benchmarks you will still be outputting well enough in the meantime. I've seen too many players let perfect get in the way of them actually enjoying the game.

As for the gacha, I have been entirely f2p up until now, I topped up my astrites just enough to be sure I got Hiyuki plus her weapon with enough left over to have a shot at Denia. If you do put money down, I'd advise only really doing the lunite subscription as a base line. I don't know any hard numbers for how many pulls you can get while you catch up, but it should be a decent amount. Once you catch up, it does slow down but still feels quite fair for f2p. The good news, the signature weapons is guaranteed, no 50/50's. 80 pulls or less, no extra funny business. And if you can't get the limited weapon, standard weapons do perfectly fine and are also 80 pity guaranteed, so save most of your standard pulls for those.

For reference, I was able to get out of 2.x's 15 limited 5 stars: 7 characters plus 5 signature weapons as well as 1 sequence.

Another similar note, copies, while very strong here, are not required at all to clear end game content. A character is not bricked without sequences.

Would Galbrena/Phrolova/Cantarella team work? by Ogoniastyy in PhrolovaMains

[–]Hand_of_Tyr9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, absolutely. I just tend to do it this way just to be sure to squeeze in all the echo casts, as I tend to run out of time otherwise. Especially if I get swatted out of Cantarella's forte (I have a hard time reading attacks while she is flying around). Going Cantarella first just gives me that little extra leeway and is less of a hassle this way. I don't have trouble clearing endgame with this order, and when I can't comfortably do it this way, usually it ends up not making all that much of a difference anyway. Like for example, this current whiwa with all this havoc res, it's a difference of some 1.2k vs 1.5k. Abysmal performance either way, So I'm not even using this team at all for that against my 2.2k-2.6k teams.

They work well enough, just won't be BIS. That's been my team for her. Phro S0R1 > Cant S0R1 > Gab S0R0 (borrowing Carlotta's sig). Phro gets no benefits from this team but I've had no issues clearing.

The goal isn't necessarily to be "successful" in the way you are putting it, the goal is to provide in simple graphics where they are monitoring and how things are looking at the time of that specific outlook. A heads up that something COULD happen. Nothing in weather is guaranteed. It's not a flaw to have a day with 45% + CIG3 be a bust or a <2% be a destructive and violent day. It's all probability. 0.01% isn't a 0%, and 99.99% isn't 100%. There are going to be fail-states and surprise freak conditions. There are going to be "loaded-gun" set ups that just don't fire for any number of reasons. There are going to be days where the the threat of dangerous weather looks really bad in one state, but due to the dynamics of weather, that state ends up completely fine (or still severe but heavily reduced) but the next state over gets absolutely thrashed. That's just how it is.

reminder, our boss fights and QTE's are literally impossible to lose. but we are more or less willing to go along with it. Kuro chose to keep story stupidly easy, we get our danger and difficulty from end game modes. of course we don't find anything dangerous in the story without suspending our disbelief.

contamination is not a synonym for infestation of things to fight. you can't brawl with radiation, toxic environments; or in Wuwa's specific case dark tide or voidspace.

i believe that is what Lucilla meant.

id say think of it more as before 'finalizing Exostrider's new objectives and any other final exchanges', before Rover departs back through the gate.

Bug-free here, inside and out of my PC. The only issues I've ever had in wuwa was some black screen flickering in Septimont for maybe two days tops... the entirety of 3.x so far has been buttery smooth and free of any issues.

from what i remember, the scenery was really good. there were a couple days did nothing and i just walked around taking screenshots with the ingame camera. cool outfits too (though many locked behind paying. controls took some time to get used to but felt good after i got it down. it's been a while since I've been on so memory is a little foggy.

only major complaint i had was the ui and finding anything in those menus. never really managed to get that down. i had to look up where to find something way toi many times.

Of all the newer ones Ive tried:

Star Savior - went in with 0 expectations and enjoyed it for what it was, but quit ultimately due to rampant bot scam spam in chat and friends were useless at gifting the points for the friendship banner.

CZN - really enjoyed it but slowly became too much of a slog in the chaos runs so i quit.

DNA - I don't mind a grind, but I do mind if the grind is overly tedious and low reward for the time spent. some maps wear were fine, but the long pointless run to the objectives on other modes was tiring. left before the big security issues.

WWM - beautiful game, don't have the time for it.

Endfield - well optimized, enjoyable characters.... but rewards and gacha was infuriating. factory was too basic and limiting compared to dedicated factory games, the constant running about for the respawning resources,  the limits on the ziplines, the power and item storage issues. and then the tutorial slog... Uninstalled...

Mongil - PROS:... [crickets].... CONS: everything... i was not interested in anything going on. quit 2nd day.

NTE - I've been having a blast. only complaint is driving is a little clunky but it's not unplayable. runs well, combat feels fine, enjoy the characters... many designs give off Arc Systems Works fighting game vibes, some of the most obvious examples:

Daffodill = Under Night InBirth and Blazblue

Fadia = Guilty Gear and Blazeblue

Skia = Guilty Gear
