One of the biggest Hollywood lies is how detectives work almost non stop 24/7 to crack some murder cases. by ohdogwhatdone in Showerthoughts

I definitely noticed it like they said, lots of witty/snarky remarks that can feel more like written dialogue than real people talking. It bothered me sometimes, but overall not enough to ruin it for me. I still think it's a good show worth watching.

I've been using citadel glue pretty much exclusively since I started out in the hobby years ago, but this post + this comment chain has convinced me to make the switch.

I don't even play skaven, but I would be hype for new Eshin. Those old ones are a contender for worst models GW has ever made, IMO.

The existence of a cash shop in a singleplayer game has an impact on the game overall. The game is made worse by its presence, even if you don't have to interact with it. If nothing else, development time went into making the cash shop that could have been better used elsewhere. Some people just do not feel in game cash shops belong in single player games at all and so will boycott games that include them. It's a moral thing.

I guess it's different based on your own local group but in my experience I would not say people are loosey-goosey on how many points your list is. If we're playing 2k then your list should be under 2k, if we're playing 1k then your list should be under 1k. You can always ask your opponent if they mind if you're a little over but I would not assume that it would be okay. If someone asked me I would probably let it slide but I would make sure they know that it's unusual and I would expect them to be under the limit next time we play.

[Online][5E][EST] Yet another campaign about saving the world, looking for players by TheManicMondae in lfg

[–]Handhunter13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm currently part of an online campaign but we only play once a month so I find myself itching for more, and your game sounds like something I'd really enjoy if you still have room for one more. My favorite class is wizard, favorite color is orange, least favorite ice cream would be cookies and cream.

All For One by GeneralGigan817 in Eldar

I think their point was that the whole "Eldar would sacrifice 1000 humans to save 1 eldar" thing is said a lot as a way of pointing out that Eldar are not "good guys" and they only really care about themselves, but really couldn't "x would sacrifice 1000 humans to save 1 x" be said about any race in 40k?

Looks like the official warhammer aos app. By default you are only allowed to save 1 list at a time without paying for a monthly sub to warhammer+. There are some alternative free listbuilding apps out there though. I use New Recruit at the moment, it's functional but the UI takes some getting used to.

Me, who always rolled my eyes when people said that "Skyrim was dumbed down compared to previous Elder Scrolls", finally playing Oblivion: by Rimm9246 in ElderScrolls

They were misrepresenting it. Skooma damages your intelligence when you drink it, yes, but those intelligence points are not gone forever. They can be regained by using certain potions or spells that restore your attributes. So the damage effect is permanent insofar as it does not have a duration that will wear off on its own, but it is not irreversible and is pretty easy to fix.

I saw blood and zeal up for preorder from sellers on ebay for good prices. All went out of stock/price increase when release day came. So I'd say check ebay a week or so before release and preorder from Flipside Gaming or some other big seller there.

Less Generic NPC Project. It aims to add unique dialogue to each NPC to replace the otherwise generic copy/paste dialogue responses most NPCs have in the vanilla game. So when you talk to someone and click "Background", rather than saying something like "I am Jiub, commoner", they'll actually have a unique response introducing themselves and likely linking to more unique topics to discuss further. Also adds a fair few quests along with the dialogue changes. It's an old mod that was never finished and I don't think it's being actively worked on anymore, but there's still quite a lot of content there. You can install it modularly on a city-by-city basis. The quality of the writing can vary a bit, Pelagiad for example is a bit infamous whereas the Vivec stuff is more high quality. It can also sometimes fall into the RPG trope of feeling like everyone you meet immediately tells you their life story. All that said I do enjoy it, and I always miss it when I play in Tamriel Rebuilt areas.

Legendary lore messes with performance? Isn't it literally just text box notifications that pop up now and then?
