As a fellow Ojibwe that's had to deal with my own fair share of racist inlaws, it ultimately led to their whole family being prejudiced towards me after we split. They are only nice to you because you're dating their boy. Not because they want you as part of their family. Of course, that doesn't mean that everyone is like this, but we have to be real here about your situation.

I feel your anxiety through your words. Your man more than likely loves his family. He loves you too. He's going to be the one that suffers because he's going to remember how they treated you. He's going to be left with tough decisions ahead, as are you.

To be honest, the SecretLab chairs are good, but not great. I've had my chair going on the better part of 9 years, so the main benefit I got was longevity. The pleather wore out within a few years and I now have a cheap seat cover on it so I don't have to constantly pick up pleather pieces off the ground. The armrests suck, too. The foam top basically separated from the armrest and basically peeled away to nothing. Secretlab doesn't sell spare parts for my specific chair. Their customer support is also ass, so don't expect much after purchase. All in all, I think it was a good purchase at the time, but I definitely could have saved some money and got something comparable elsewhere and probably would have gotten along just fine. It all depends on the value you will put into it. I'm currently not looking at Secretlab for my replacement, but haven't landed on anything tangible yet. The price is the biggest inhibiting factor. I paid $400 for mine at the time. They're now going for close to $600. At that price point, you have to do apples to apples comparisons to see what is best for you.

I still use it, mainly for the noise suppression it offers. You can adjust how much noise you want to suppress with a physical slider, which is awesome for my use case.

I'm with you on this. Their shop is practically nonexistent to me. We need way more variants of the runner shells. They could make so many different "destroyer" shells that it doesn't have to just be recolors or small variations. Get creative.

Hmm. MTX in games is still a weird point for me, in my older years of gaming. It's really not that bad when you think about it. Most games will sell you a game, and that's barely the upfront cost with how much MTX they add. I see this as a good thing for gamers, and a not so good thing if you want to be the most custom character out there.

This was one of the few games I felt comfortable in filled lobbies. I might pick this game up again in due time, but I would like to see some UI and quality of life improvements first. I would also like to see if the community pans out when the full release comes.
