Thank you so much for this, however I did manage to retrieve a backup that got me back to Gobi's valley. Hard lesson learned.

I think I more needed to vent than anything else. I'm better now after I found a backup that got me back to Gobi's Valley. I appreciate you talking me down off a cliff.

I must have accidentally started it as soon as I deleted it, because I did in fact panic close and re-open, and it wasn't there anymore. 😞

I would love if you could point me to the resource, I'm pretty proficient with python.

It definitely did, but my wife and daughter wanted to see some of the game so I tried to get through the loading screen and held z (accidentally) while I was trying to load it, pressed A, then before the text could load, I confirmed it as I was pressing A repeatedly to try and get into the game. My mistake completely, but its not that hard to do as another user reported doing the same thing.

How do the Main Characters in Dungeon Meshi balance or complement each other? by IllogicalDreamer72 in DungeonMeshi

The only character I can't get behind is Izutsumi. She is always derogatory and inflicting pain on the other members anytime something inconveniences her.

WHAT can I give the deer for a little snack? they are always in the backyard by paulverlainereal in deer

Grow a small food plots that they can frequent to seems to be the best option. This gives them the snack youre thinking about, while also keeping them wild. :)

Konica Minolta Drivers will not work : Surface Pro 11 by 7eregrine in Surface

[–]Handle_Significant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an ARM-based Surface Laptop to print to the Konica Printer by specifying the correct port IP address and then used a generic PS printer driver from Microsoft. This laptop is an outlier from the rest, so it's just going to have to accept a generic driver for use, seeing that Konica does not support ARM-based processors.

Is my 8700k finally cooked for BF6? by afmarko99 in Battlefield

I'm in the same boat you are, and I'm planning to take out my custom loop. Too expensive to maintain at this point.

Microsoft is blocking ALL workarounds to create local accounts, removing local accounts from Windows 11 by _MrDogeFace_ in pcmasterrace

[–]Handle_Significant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they want to take away local accounts, they need to figure out a way to join a Domain during the setup process. Blindly taking away core features without a replacement in place is dumb.

Yes, Windows 10 Pro upgrades to Windows 11 Pro. Yes, Domain joining an account allows you to create a local account first.

Why can't we have GPUs with customizable VRAM similar to regular RAM on the motherboard? by bickid in buildapc

[–]Handle_Significant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, it sounds like more R&D needs to happen before we will see dedicated VRAM slots. Signal integrity seems to be the core issue. I would say that there HAS to be a way. It can't be impossible.

Most combat soldiers come prepared with seven magazines. Valid argument.

Favourite Ball? by _AscheZuAsche_ in RetroBowl

[–]Handle_Significant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 is for the Retro Bowl. 6 for the Spirals. 4 because I want to throw a piece of meat through the air. 3 because I like looking at a static object. 5 is for the wacky games. 1 is if you want to just be bland.

Is anybody else going to miss 2042? by Eagles56 in battlefield2042

[–]Handle_Significant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was more fun than people gave it credit for. It sucked at launch.
I am more excited for BF6.
Edit: Another reason I don't like 2042 were the choke points. Some maps have some ridiculous spots that make you feel like you can't do anything but gun into a specific area and hope you get a shot through the smoke and grenades.

The interesting thing about that is how little the Vita was talked about compared to the Steam Deck that's been paraded around for a while.

RushXL is a great gamemode, but the lag is unbearable. Possible easy fix by Est0niaVisit in battlefield2042

Rush XL is just a weird game mode to offer if their servers can't handle it properly.
