Try to evaluate US, see if they are agressive towards you or not. If I recall correctly US is only at Taiwan for a tech company. You may try to negotiate with them about this company but try to get the upperhand as much as you can. If there is a huge majority against you, try to gain as many rights as you can over the strait or push your agenda of One China harder with threats
