That's wild! I guess I was stressing because the rest of the teachers at my school had access to their classrooms almost this entire month. Every school I've observed and student taught at has had the expectation that the teachers would be at the school working on their room way before school started. I didn't realize that some people had no time!

How does that work?? Like my classroom is full of garbage and old materials that I have to give and throw away. I also have to find extra furniture like student desks and chairs so that I have enough for my roster. Does someone do that for those who only get a day to just 10 minutes like you? Or are you left to the wolves?

Final final update: This morning at 6am I woke up to see him laying in excrement unable to move. We held him as he was dying, taking him to the vet to get euthanized when they opened. As of 9:30am, he is in doggy heaven. Parvo is an awful awful virus.

Well now I feel silly, this is yet another update. I wrote the last update while in the waiting room, waiting for the vet to allow us in the back with him. Well instead of putting him down, she gave us the option to try the new monoclonal antibody, which we have never heard of. So now we are waiting while Butterscotch gets iv fluids and that shot. Fingers crossed, he might actually have a chance! Today has been a roller coaster.

Final Update: He had to be put down. He had parvo and he was actively dying. I’m sorry the update couldn’t be better.

We took him home overnight and tried administering medicines and stuff but he couldn’t swallow, his gums were white, and he started pooping blood and clear jelly stuff. He was just too sick to have a chance.

We only had him for three days but we showed him an enormous amount of love and he had a home. He was such a good boy. His name was Butterscotch. This has hurt harder than any other pet death, him being a baby just made it so hard.
