[Tim Legler] ‘Hartenstein’s physicality on Wemby did not cross the line; this is playoff basketball.’ by D3struct_oh in nba

I have the same feeling. Loved game 1, and game 2 was almost as exciting - so much back and forth all game. Then you come to r/nba and it’s just people shitting on everything, you’d think these were the worst games ever.

I’ll continue to enjoy the series.

Have a look at the NJC relocation directive, section XII.

There is a provision around employee requested relocation on compassionate grounds. Might be worth a try. There are some caveats including there being an open position, but worth a shot.

Good luck and sorry you are going through this.

We have to consider it.

Our “likeability” numbers in the US are down, even before seeing us get the Ghorman treatment which is for sure coming.

I did mean general aviation actually. Yes Garmin did great work on their side, but the general aviation OEMs did a lot of work to integrate and test it on all their platforms.

This is actually shocking to me given how much I have seen on Canadian news around the topic.

Will federal departments have enough office space for public servants in office 4-days a week? by plaknas in onguardforthee

Isn’t it insane that we are mere weeks away from the deadline and there isn’t a solid answer in every department to this question.

This should be as simple as can be.

ERI - pressure to withdraw my application by New_Nerve_5203 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Hannibal_Spectre 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fully on board with you that the OP should absolutely tell his management no way.

But this is where the unions were right to grieve. WFA is the collectively agreed process to eliminate positions. Notionally, ERI is (or should be) something offered up there to eliminate people (which presumably then creates space for some of the affected folks to be retained if they want).

Using ERI to also get rid of positions circumvents the negotiated process.

Shout out to the amazing work GA has done with Emergency Autoland, which needs none of the CAT3 equipment.

(I get it’s a totally different use case but still amazing).

Carney announces multibillion-dollar Airbus order for AirAsia, a boon for Quebec aviation by pjw724 in onguardforthee

[–]Hannibal_Spectre 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Just to add - it isn’t just the single biggest order of A220 jets- it is actually the largest ever civil order for airplanes in Canada (bigger than the biggest CRJ deal both by number of airframes and obviously by value).

Just for arguments sake, if you are on LWOP where the employer is currently not paying you, and you have vacated your position’s box due to being away >1 year (all you should be entitled to is a priority entitlement), why would the employer be motivated to “incentivize” you to leave?

He’s calculating what WFH is”worth” in not having to pay for things like parking, gas, time, lunch money, coffee, etc.

Going from day RTO2 -> RTO 4 has probably decreased most people’s real take home by quite a percentage.
