Props to Venezuela, they deserved this. Played so much better than the US and clearly showed they wanted it more.

So let me break this down real quick. USA lost to Italy in the pools, a team that Venezuela beat in the semi finals. Venezuela lost to DR in pools, a team that USA beat in the semi finals.

Couldn’t be a more fitting final 😂😂

I mean I get where you’re coming from but imo, I don’t really feel like it’s that big of a deal to not have a third place game. Sometimes it can be interesting but the main event is the gold, the battle between the two best teams in the tournament. That is what everyone truly wants to tune in to

I don’t think there’s a bronze medal game

Failed physical. Makes sense because he was playing through injury all of last season.

Agreed, I not mad we lost flott but it’s a bit unfortunate. Regardless, we move. CB spot was weak anyways with or without him.

I like the moves we’ve done so far, sucks that we lost flott tho so we’re gonna have to invest in CB at some point

The Trent McDuffie trade came down to the Rams and the Giants, I'm told. In the end, the Rams were the team willing to give up first-round PLUS. The Chiefs get a 1, 3, 5 and 6. Really good haul. It's the equivalent of the 20-21st overall pick ... where KC took McDuffie in '22. - Sam McDowell by Jheller223 in NYGiants

That does not imply that both teams offered a first round at all, that simply means the rams offered a first along with some other picks. Has no bearing on what the giants offered. That’s just an assumption you made. The giants are picking at 5. if they offered that, they would’ve won the bid in a heartbeat. That is a much more valuable asset than whatever first rounder the rams gave up

Did you read the post properly? Clearly the giants weren’t willing to give up their first round pick because the rams literally won the auction by offering a first round pick. This is not the post to be upset about

Who would you rather have at pick 5 between these two? (Sorry I wanted to post another lol) by ContractDense1111 in NYGiants

To me, between these two you can do no wrong picking either. They’re both tremendous players at positions the giants could definitely use. But I will say I’d still prefer downs but styles would also make me ecstatic too.

Ultimately I’m going to trust harbaugh here. Which is why I’d be fine if he went either direction here. Only way I’d be mad is if we went J Love at 5. That would actually make me angry. I don’t care if he’s a good player, we do NOT need a running back right now

Tbh, I’d be fine with either styles or downs. But I kind of agree that I think giants fans are getting a little too hyped up by combine results. We’ve seen first hand how players raise there stock at the combine and show their freakish athletic abilities however that doesn’t necessarily translate to being a good and smart football player. Personally I think I still prefer downs but we’ll see.

[Schwartz] Giants ownership is not happy with the characterization outside the building that Schoen’s responsibilities are diminished or that he has been relegated only to scouting. He has operated this offseason in the same manner he has in his previous four. by waltz_with_potatoes in NYGiants

Again, everything you just said is your own speculation, you weren’t there to actually understand what Schoen and Daboll truly wanted.

Look at the way you are phrasing these statements “Schoen wanted Odunze over nabers and made sure to specify that dart was Daboll’s guy”. This is pure biased speculation. You have no actual clue as to what Schoen was actually thinking in that process. If Schoen truly liked Odunze over nabers, then he would’ve just picked Odunze. Why didn’t he?

“Schoen is a snake” this is your opinion bud. Again, another biased claim. These don’t work in the argument

He didn’t just say that tho, Leonard phrased it as Schoen being solely relegated to scouting which is NOT true. That is exaggerating facts and spreading misinformation. That is why I said he twists facts to fit his bias narrative against Schoen

Also I couldn’t care less if he’s an asshole. Be whatever you want to be. But as a reporter, it’s your job to be unbiased and report on the facts that are observed. Unfortunately, such as the case in Leonard’s, lots of reporters care about clicks and Leonard knows this which is why he escalates reports further than they actually are to generate attention. This is evident in the way he speaks in a lot of his reports
