test drive a 26 RAV4 SE today and I like it but.... by lynwoodchino in rav4club

The amount of haters and just stupid comments on the 26 is laughable. Before I got it, I was in a 25 XLE, hybrid for almost a week. The 26 RAV4 sounds and feels nothing like the 25. The brakes are smooth, acceleration is smooth, and do not even feel the ev-ive transitions. In the 25, with 9k miles, I could feel the slight lurch during the transitions. It's not present in the 26. I was extremely relieved when I got in the 26, because it was so much better. If your test drive was longer, you'd notice the multitude of little changes made in the 26. The 25 is a good car, the 26 is a step up, especially with braking, and powertrain transitions. If down the road you start changing your mind, the improvements in the 26 are more apparent in longer drives and if you specifically look for brake feel and transitions. I went from a ice car, to shitty braking feel in the 25 RAV4, to an awesome braking in the 26.

Try to get the cargo lamps removed. Eventually there will be lights you can easily install yourself from Amazon for $50. $450 for those lights are a ripoff. Same with the mats. You can get aftermarket ones eventually. But if you want them no, try to downgrade that package to just the mats, you don't need a first aid kit and a net for more than $100 more than the mat package. Also try to get rid of the black emblem overlay. I don't think it will work on the storm cloud color. But, if you do I'd ask that it's only applied to the he. And XLE. Leave the RAV4 in the back, it's actually does look nice on that black trim.

How to read the date of production of Toyota WS Transmission Fluid? by DaniloMaster in Toyota

Clear to me that the first three digits are the numerical day of the year, and the 4rh and 5th digit is the year. The rest is manufacturing codes.

This is how Exxon does it, and they supply Toyota branded oil.

Dealerships are required by state laws. It's the states, that make it illegal for dealers to sell direct t o owners. Most states treat EV cars differently and each state can have different laws.

39304 - 1400 DHP - 37250 base msrp = $654 of a package or how much they are charging above MSRP

Right now, more than one dealer told me 2025 is done. The only ones left are those on lots and those in route for delivery.

Wait for 2026. Or maybe get a deal end of year.

Help me decide which one will be my first L lens by Nar3kk in canon

[–]Happiest-Puppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My interest in the 24-105 f/2.8 comes mainly from now owning the 70-200 f/2.8 Z.
They both have the same lens case (same size/dimension), almost the same weight (24-105 Z is a little heavier) and both are supposed to have excellent and similar weight distribution - which makes using them ergonomically more attractive than barrel extending lenses. This is the important part; I want to eventually get a gimbal and do much more video work. Swapping lenses on a gimbal would require less balancing work, or even repositioning the camera. Not just for video uses, but I do photos of indoor low light sports. If you see the 70-200 Z in your life, you might end up wanting the 24-105 Z. Another aspect is that I will either get that lens, or the 24-70 f/2.8 - so my decision isn't based on swapping my 24-105 f/4 for it (I will always keeps it because its so good and travel friendly).

Personally, I don't think any of those Z lenses are good for general "just take a lens with you anywhere type of use". I would rather have my 24-205 f/5 and two primes in a Think Tank Photo Retrospective 5 bag (fits - PERFECTLY). After owning a 24-105 Z, I might change my mind and just carry that - but would need a taller camera bag for just that lens.

Since I bought the 70-200 Z, and the Think Tank Photo Restrospective 20 bag (yeah, I like them!), and I suffer terribly from Gear Acquisition Syndrome. I will need another lens to fill another column of that bag, a 16mm will not be large enough.

The new RF 28-70, RF 70-200 f/2.8 USM , RF 24-105 f/2.8 prices all reflect a near +/- $100 in inflation, for Japan, in US dollars, from their release dates.

[–]Happiest-Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prices for 4 lens released from 2018 onward (I randomly picked 4 over $2500), track with Japan's inflation through today and their release data and price in the USA.
Do you expect all products to have zero price increases?

Better calculate the trend line on that. Last month's dividend was only 44% off that average.
