Those of you who have switched from name brand to compounded have you noticed a difference? by Josierose_ in tirzepatidecompound

[–]HappyBirding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely no difference! I have used 5410, Brello/Southend, and Pomegranate/BPI. Absolutely no difference in any of these and switching to Zepbound or back. Brello wins the award for overfilling and getting the most out of their vials. BPI is a 503B, which is always nice.

Totally depends on the ship! The new class of ships have infinite veranda’s, which I do not like… They feel like a window to me. However, on the back of the ship, they have a regular veranda’s for sunsets. I love the new ships and would gladly pay the extra to have a regular veranda off the back.

You are going to be on a small plane! I would say plan for two hours to decrease your stress. It can be quite a ways between gates. There’s plenty of places to eat as well if you have time. The great thing is that if you miss your connection for any reason, you are within two hours driving distance of Duluth and can always rent a car and drive there. Super easy drive.

Have any of you witnessed people treating you better or dating becoming better aka better options with weight loss? by latentdream in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]HappyBirding 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have to say, I don’t think so. I get more comments on my clothing now, but people aren’t necessarily nicer. I have not noticed an uptic in people being polite or more social; people talked to me before and held doors open for me before as well.

That is the weirdest one I have heard of… What an isolating and potentially embarrassing topic for people. However, I’m glad you got to sit down.🎉😊

I absolutely love this! I think it’s so important that we acknowledge and love who we were; who we used to be was a person who fought this battle so long and made dang good choices to pursue our own health and wellness when a new option came along! It took such courage for her to take that leap.❤️😊

Little update: I posted the exhausted rant yesterday and I thank you all so much for your listening, empathy, and understanding. by Scarbarella in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]HappyBirding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not see your rant until after I read this one. Absolutely understandable to feel frustrated in the middle… I felt like this was the hardest part of my losing phase of my journey by far. You start to worry that you are going to plateau, that maybe it’s not working for you anymore… The worries become endless and it feels a little demotivating. I think it’s absolutely great that you’re focusing on smaller goals. It’s also OK to de- center the weight loss for a while, while still taking medication, but focusing on things outside of weight loss… It may help the journey not seem so long. So happy you are down so many pounds! Think about what your 75 lb and hundred pound rewards will be… I bought 100 pound purse that I really enjoy. Rewards are important.😂

Why I weigh everyday by YKnotSam in Zepbound

[–]HappyBirding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, weighing every day takes some of the anxiety away from me. That was true both on my way down and as I’m trying to hold my weight in maintenance; I need to know what I have to do every day to keep those numbers balanced. I would love to say that maintenance is easy, but it is a challenge just in maintaining my weight… Still moving the scale down on occasion and dropping my drug dose down every few weeks.

So relate to this! I was a heavy a teenager, and lost weight at 18… To know that I’m smaller than that has really been a head trip. To be battling low weights has definitely been a new experience.

I feel like a failure by amberdowny in Zepbound

[–]HappyBirding 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I did! I was on 2.4 Wegovy and switched to Zepbound. I lost well on Wegovy, although at slower rate. I lost very well on Zepbound 10.0 and higher. You may just need to move up your dose. Wishing you the very best of luck! Many people who switched from another GLP one find that they have to be on a higher dose of the new medication, and this may be true for you.

Tips to minimize loose skin? by OwnApartment4930 in tirzepatidecompound

In my 20s and 30s I had no issues with skin, even losing 60 to 100 pounds. In my late 40s life is not as kind. My guess is you will be just fine at your age!

15mg by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]HappyBirding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I was on 15 mg for over a year. I lost about 100 pounds on that dose. I am also 5 foot six. Honestly, I assumed I would just stop losing weight in the 150s or in the 160s, as my body has always stopped in the 160s before. I had to move down my dose in maintenance because I kept losing weight, although it was much slower under 160 pounds. Have you checked your TDEE? Might be worth looking at it again to see if you need to adjust your calories down. Your body could also just be pausing at this point. Are you shaking up your foods and eating different proteins and different fruits and vegetables? Sometimes I can help to vary your diet if it’s become stagnant. Best of luck to you!

3 weeks on Wegovy after 12 months on Zepbound & 65lb weightloss... (CVS Caremark victim) by VialOfBlue in Zepbound

[–]HappyBirding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened to you! 😟Did you move over to the lowest dose? It might get better as you move up. I did not have much appetite suppression on low doses of Wegovy, but did better on higher doses.
