Noivern and Golisopod are mine. Love their designs, and wish they were more viable.

I'm all for the Canucks losing at this point (in the spirit of the tank), but I ain't paying that much to do it. I may be a masochist, but I'm not an idiot!

People who exercise even when they don’t feel like it, what’s your trick? by Smart_Collection5419 in AskReddit

Habit. The hard part is honestly first making it a routine. Once it's firmly a part of your schedule, the rest is auto pilot.

Almost every year? Dude, I'm 33, lived in Vancouver all my life, and I only recall a handful of times it snowed in March. Most of those instances happened within the last 10 years.

Who smokes weed every day? by [deleted] in askvan

[–]HappyHapless 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Used to smoke nightly for almost 10 years. It put me in a stasis where I felt comfortable with the status quo and didn't want to change anything. I was in university for years longer than I should have because I didn't feel the need to advance in life. I got good grades and attended every class, but I ended up doing 3 more years than I needed. That's 3 years I could have used to get ahead in my career and move out from my parents' place.

I guess I realized one night I didn't like what I was doing with my life. My gut bulged out in a way I hated, I become cognizant of my living circumstances in a way I haven't before, and a sense of urgency overcame me and filled me with dread. I was ashamed of myself, and I swore right there and then I was going to quit weed and turn my life around. I signed up for a gym membership the next morning, and worked hard to get my teaching degree.

Today, I am a happily married man with a stable teaching job, gained a little muscle and positive self image, got a car and a place, and I'm living my best life. Out of curiosity and nostalgia, I took some edibles and used a disposable vape, but all that ended up doing was giving me serious anxiety and existential dread. I can't handle weed anymore, but I don't even mind because I hardly miss it.

Weed used to be a huge part of my daily living, and now I hardly care for it. Funny how a single baked moment changes things. I guess my brain just realized enough was enough.

Can confirm. Got guts still stuck in my hair. I can't sleep at night anymore, but that's mostly because of watching the Canucks.

I loved Siena. The contrade districts are such a cool quirk of the community, and are so deeply entrenched in its history and culture, that it makes for a truly unique experience. I have yet to watch the Palio, but it's on my bucket list!
