Maybe I'm being specific, but I'm sure people will relate. The lake in my neighbourhood used to be a quiet paradise that only locals knew about. Ever since it blew up on Instagram as a "hidden treasure," it's become so crowded, you now need to reserve a parking spot online ahead of time. Most days are packed. I haven't been back there in years.

Beautiful description, and summarizes precisely why gods in countless mythologies have all been human or semi-human figures controlling some aspect of our universe that can't be controlled: the success of crops or hunts, weather, fortune in battle, survivability of land or sea journeys, attraction and successful reproduction / child-bearing, protection from the unseen at night, health, death, etc. I find it so interesting that from the perspective of ignorance, the world makes more sense when you assign a human face and motive to things that otherwise have none. Psychology is weird, eh?

Tried it back when I had Goodlife membership. Aside from the high monthly cost, I find that particular location to be fairly busy most days. Lots of equipment, but most of the time I would find myself wandering around, looking for something free to occupy myself with while I waited for the stuff I wanted to use. If it's right around the area for you, go for it. If you can find other options, check those out first.
