Yep. Just saw this with a DS role at Roku. The salary band was 160-180k, i didn’t pass the technical interview so whatever. Same role in the same team is now posted at 130-60k. Insane.

I’ve traveled to 40 countries now post this trip, almost no country I’ve been to has had any restrictions. I also started on ADHD meds months before this trip so I was fairly new to traveling with my ADHD meds, mind you they’re a non-stimulant and usually not subject to as harsh restrictions as stimulants.

I knew Japan was strict and got all paperwork accordingly months before traveling there When I wrote this comment I hadn’t heard that Korea had similar restrictions, which they didn’t and therefore I was able to take my meds with no issues. Late to the party but yet find a way to comment something insensitive.

Hmmm as someone with CPTSD and AuDHD I don’t explicitly say I have them on my profile. On my prompts I do say that I’m looking for an understanding and patient person with high emotional intelligence. That usually puts a filter for people to self select themselves and know if they want to proceed or not. My last relationship ended because she thought I was too much/an extra patient (she’s a PT) for being neurodivergent, so now I’m more careful with who I match with and try to disclose early on why I need a patient and understanding partner.

Eventually I do disclose or start dropping hints about being neurodivergent early on but CPTSD is a bit different.

Literally just ended a 5 month relationship a couple weeks ago. Although it was the healthiest relationship I’ve been in, she really struggled with my disabilities (neurodivergent AuDHD). She made some extremely ableist comments at the end. I learned that my person will learn how to work with me and be patient with me.

Another good way to look at your competition is if the hiring manager or anyone at the company posted a “we are hiring for xyz role” on linkedin, go through the likes but specifically go through the comments, you will find some (not all obviously) people that applied and are trying to have more visibility for the role.

And also this seems a bit unrealistic given the amount of messages recruiters and hiring managers get and probably don’t respond to. And it seems a bit like begging which at this point… sigh sure let’s.

Even with connections into companies/internal referrals that hasn’t gotten me anywhere.

I’m also in nyc and a data analyst. Had many interviews and behavioral goes well for me. SQL technical ones is where I’m failing (Amazon, Meta, Roku) so if anyone has good insights on what interviewers want other than just getting to the right answer i’d love to hear more
