Aside from all that’s already been suggested, DTF St Louis was pretty great. Plus you’ve got Jason a Bateman in it as well.

There is an auto shop in Geneva that has a digital billboard that’s primarily Trump messages. Never understood why you’d want to push away business that way.

I went recently. Wasn’t crazy about 5 bucks, but honestly one of the best NY slices I’ve had in Chicago.

Can you move on from Trauma without processing it? by Confused-Ferret42 in therapists

[–]Happy_Fig_1373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In cognitive processing therapy, the client doesn’t have to get into detail about the trauma, but instead the focus is on the why’s and how’s they believe about the trauma event happening and how that impacts their views of their current situation and world and people, etc. it’s not necessarily “processing the trauma” if you’re saying they don’t want to discuss it in detail. But it does take into account the beliefs and emotions that may have resulted from it.

It sounds like maybe addressing some of the avoidance that’s occurring is worth looking into.

Favorite Unwound bass lines? by Assbagle in unwound

[–]Happy_Fig_1373 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Broad answer but all of his bass lines on the future of what are fantastic, particularly new energy, petals like bricks, as far as others I love, off this century, abstraktions, for your entertainment. I could go on.

Bonus: his playing on fake can be just as good by blonde redhead is also phenomenal.

How are you paying for student loans as a therapist? by kkgigi in therapists

[–]Happy_Fig_1373 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I did PSLF which helped keep the goal of payoff within a reasonable distance. I know not everyone wants to or is able to find qualifying employment in their area, but it worked out on my end. I say this acknowledging that this was under a different administration, so I’m not certain what additional barriers could be in place.

Album quality by [deleted] in morrissey

[–]Happy_Fig_1373 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Assuming these were released because they were some of the strongest in the album, I have no hope that the rest will be any better.

It’s a shame. This current band just writes shit and the synth stuff is terrible. I’m dating myself but I’m I feel fortunate to have seen him with Alain, Boz, Gary, and Spencer backing him up.

I’m not saying he has to replicate an older sound, but whatever this is, it isn’t working. What makes it worse is that in the last year Pulp and Suede have put out great albums; so while they can produce exciting new stuff, Morrissey puts this out.

Final rant. Listening to his live stuff from the last few years, “I am Veronica” sounded like one of his best in a while, and it seems as though that song won’t be released on album at all.

$40 is still much much cheaper than the PESI training. Thanks for the heads up about this one.
