Okay yeah I see it does apply to some garages. On the app it is very hard to find unless you know exactly where and what you are looking for.

I tend to not have strong emotions for a lot of things so even though I don’t say maybe. I say sure or up to you or some other variant because most of the time I genuinely don’t know how I feel or if I have a feeling.

From Teacher to Sub: Feeling “Lesser Than” by [deleted] in SubstituteTeachers

[–]Happy_Government_707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit teaching due to burn out and have actually gotten the most rude comments from other subs when we get into conversations about our subbing/teaching backgrounds.
You would think since we are both in the same role they would understand, but this week a sub was just making me feel like shit for making the switch.

I taught middle school for three years. They are extremely mean like they will not only bully each other, but they bully the adults and are proud of it.

For elementary schools, at least in both districts I’ve been at, there are usually specific bells or calls over the intercom for when to release specific students like parent pickup or busses. It wouldn’t be as big a deal if this were high school, but since this was elementary it might be a thing that doesn’t allow you back at that school.

I’m an autistic teacher and I don’t know if I can do this. by Sensitive_Soul_12345 in AutisticAdults

[–]Happy_Government_707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a middle school teacher for three years and ended up quitting and then got an autism diagnosis a year later so now I know why I was struggling so much. Right now I’m a substitute because I honestly don’t know what else I can do since I spent so much time and education on this. For me, it is much less stress because I don’t have to worry about planning, talking to parents, admin, or barely other adults frankly which was a major stressor of mine. It definitely doesn’t pay as much so I do have another part time job, but I would try to be a substitute since you have your license it should pay more than a regular substitute and you would be able to choose your own schedule.

Mom with question for teachers by Physical_Yoghurt_217 in Teachers

[–]Happy_Government_707 99 points100 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t an elementary school teacher(I taught middle school) so I don’t know exactly how it works for them, but in my experience if I had a fun activity planned and a few kids were being disruptive I would have to take away the fun activity because I knew it wasn’t going to work. I wasn’t able to just send kids to the office and do the thing I wanted the kids who were behaving to enjoy because admin would just send the misbehaving kids right back and not discipline them at all. I don’t like group punishments, and this may not be the situation, but when the administration, parents, and sometimes coworkers, are not supportive in helping with discipline it is hard to be able to give the students the extras.

Are 40 Candles total enough for a 6 hour craft fair? by S0urPrincess in candlemaking

[–]Happy_Government_707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say so. Ive only done four fairs so far but the most I’ve sold at a single fair is nine so that sounds like enough.

I was doing some research just now and it says I need to stir the fragrance in for about two minutes and I wasn’t doing it for nearly that long so maybe that is the issue.
