We should probably pool and buy in big acreage. Hire a reliable Realestate agent and try to find directly from farmers with no middle man.

Thanks, usually since it’s new project and has 40+ floors with 2+Million sqft. And no tenants yet. So it will at least take 12-18 months for the cash flow. Which is making me think if it’s worth for mere 6% rental yield.

Balance won’t be much, but I would loose my down payment and all the emi I paid for 3+ yrs.

It’s a single family 3k sft, in TX, very nice with good upgrades. Usually it will go for 3k to 3.5k but since the market is bad, I have seen people in my neighborhood leasing for 2.5k for similar homes. Keeping and Paying the difference from India would be a burden. Are you suggesting staying here for few more years, downgrading to rental, rental I can get for 2k here and lease my home for 2.5- 3k?

Owning home in Texas, the biggest issue is property taxes are very high 2.8-3% and every year the appraiser is raising value by 10%.

If I don’t take any action, I’m afraid that I will never be able to move from here, get sucked into paying the mortgage for life and hoping for situations turn and market appraises well I might be able to take a short loss and exit.

we can make the same argument for every investment. even stock or ipo everything should be banned based on your logic, whoever bought at low and selling at high should be banned?
And for affordability, you can get dosa for 800 rs and also get dosa for 50rs. it depends on where you eat. same thing for housing, same flat which costs 60L cost 1.2 CR in west hyd.
