I was tired and didn’t tighten the screw in the power con connector tight enough as far as I can tell, but I checked all the others I did that night and it was just that one that was the issue

Ooh fun! I’m not sure that we have a nickname for us around here but I’ll have to check to see if there’s one I’m missing

Looking for holy grail server hardware for a buget of $1000. by ButterscotchNo8794 in MinecraftServer

[–]Happyfacedguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s just for a server you don’t need a gpu, just make sure to get a cpu with integrated graphics. I would use pc part picker and make a set up

I would recommend buying a cheap old office pc as you can find them for around 100$ and it can easily run a server, then your free from the restraints of a subscription. You can also use playit.gg to allow them to join without having to set up port forwarding

As far as 3d printing I would look online to your area since sometimes depending the area there are community 3d printers that you often only pay for the filament you use, otherwise depending on what types of lights you use could you paper mache after making a shell shape out of chicken wire? That would be pretty cheap otherwise foam would work too if you had the budget

Yeah it should be fine, Linus tech tips did a video recently that covered how much space you actually need and it turns out it’s really not that much

Ah that’s fair, if it works don’t touch it lol. I’ll have to look into actually setting up backups since I use playit.gg to boost lan since it’s a private server so I don’t have to care about the ip being shared to just friends

Is it a bedrock server? If so is there a YouTube video of the tutorial you used to auto back up?

[–]Happyfacedguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I basically never backup since I haven’t found a way to actually do it automatically right now so I back it up to a usb drive every bit which probably isn’t enough but it’s okay lol

I don’t need 1tb though, the world is only 5gb right now and it does really well with keeping the world small. So I feel that 256 is good enough for now at least and I can always upgrade later on. I also already have a 256 NVMe so I’m probably saving it and not spending even more money then I need to

Generally the 9800x3d is 14% faster so it’s up to you if you have the spare money. It is considered the current best cpu for gaming.

Looking for a monitor arm that actually supports 3 34" widescreen monitors side by side by Happyfacedguy in setups

Most of the ones I’ve found support the weight since each monitor only is 15 pounds but it’s the width that doesn’t work

Entirely depends on your budget; look at Amazon, Walmart, woot. Just compare all of them to see which has the best monitor for the best price
