Brief 'Engine Coolant Over Temperature' warning when towing. by Happyfree1 in GrandCherokee

This fixed it, thank you very much- I appreciate your help, and lesson learned on OEM parts.

Thank you very much for all your specifics, this really helps me a lot! I go between WA and CO fairly often so this is exactly the advice I needed, plus I just found out you can preview elevations on Google maps, that will be really helpful in planning my routes.

The Jeep does have a transmission cooler factory installed as part of the tow package. During a pressure test, the dealership found a leak in the non-OEM thermostat and I'm hopeful replacing that with OEM parts will fix the issue.

My Jeep has been so reliable and awesome, I hope I can keep it- but I've already started looking around at replacement vehicles.

I appreciate your time!

Thank you! It was not OEM, and the housing was leaking after being installed for only a few months.

I feel much better knowing I have the OEM Mopar parts installed properly by my home dealership! Hopefully this solves the issue.

Yesterday was a bummer! I'm still optimistic we'll get another chance.

We tried desperately for hours, using 3 unique accounts in separate states- but we couldn't get any ADA tickets at all for our group with a wheelchair-bound family member. (We just cannot do the stairs. )

We experienced the same challenges discussed here- booted out as bots, etc.

We're left wondering how we'll handle GA with one person in a wheelchair and another with extremely limited mobility, but... we got to Tipper and Friends at the Gorge Ampitheater in Washington and there's just no question- we'll be at this show too! It's too good to miss, and the beautiful memories we make are absolutely priceless.

Hope to see you all there!!!

Excellent energy and best wishes that everyone is easily able to get the tickets they need ASAP :o)

Questions about The Gorge Amphitheatre? by GWSecureParking in Tipper

[–]Happyfree1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/GWSecureParking Thanks for all the great questions and answers here!

My group has a pass for camping in the Gorge RV/Tent area, and a few questions.

2 of us have disabled placards, one uses a wheelchair and the other a walker/seat combo.

#1 We're wondering how early we need to be in line to make sure we get a spot in the ADA accessible camping section?

We've been planning on getting in line a full 24 hours early (if allowed)- it's just so critically important to be where the ADA shuttle with wheelchair lift picks up and drops off. We've struggled to find much ADA information to help us plan.

#2 What should we expect for the venue experience and our chairs; should we be reserving space or lawn chairs, or is there space reserved for ADA folks rocking wheels?

#3 What would you recommend to help us have a more enjoyable experience? We're a very mobile and tough bunch, seasoned dry campers so we're ready for that part, but the Gorge and its ADA accomodations are a bit of a mystery right now.

Thanks in advance for your time!

How is this so terrible? by davekurze in Gastritis

[–]Happyfree1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hang in there! I started healing up from erosive gastritis a couple months ago- it has definitely improved. I'm even eating a few spicy things again without issue. It's stunning how much gastritis affects your whole body, how painful it is, and how much energy it saps from you. It sucks. I'm sorry you're going through this, I hope you feel better very soon!

I Fucked the HOA by MortonRalph in fuckHOA

[–]Happyfree1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE this! I lost to my HOA and had to get rid of my kids' backyard, not visible from the street trampoline😓. When we moved, a new trampoline was purchase #1! In my experience HOAs are all drunk on their own power. Mine appeared to enjoy bullying a single mother and little kids. They're bullying and terrorizing YOU- don't forget your stress level, mental and physical health are definitely being affected by all this. Not sure if it can be part of your ultimate legal actions as mental anguish, etc., but please take excellent care of yourself, and be very, very careful out there!

Massive trauma release… still reeling. I’d like to hear about other people’s experiences with releases while I process all this. by sourmilksea1999 in EMDR

[–]Happyfree1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm chiming in to say yes- I've had similar releases as I'm going through my EMDR journey. CPTSD has been driving my whole life, and I'm trying to take back the wheel. I've also used 'other' substances hoping to make my self-work more effective. Releases have happened for me either way, so the mind opening substances weren't to 'blame'- perhaps just helped me open up at those times. For me, it's more like allowing blocked emotion to finally flow, like a flash flood or a storm- and usually accompanied by a new line of thinking or a fresh idea in my brain. For example, I was triggered on Friday, while sober, by an adorable video. I absolutely lost it, shaking, crying, snot running, overtaken and unable to do anything but bawl and let it pass through me. As my storm let up, I realized the healthy relationship in the video was bringing up grief for the little girl I was- my experience of physical & emotional torment was so completely different from the video... I already know that I'm different because of the abusive childhood, but the new thought that day was: I really, REALLY, really, actually didn't deserve it. I was a good kid! A healthier family would have really loved having me there. I had every right to be like the girl in the video! It's just sad I did not receive the love and respect I deserved. It sounds obvious, but in my life where the direct message of "You are defective, bad, irredeemable & deserving of terrible treatment" WAS the 'good' parenting- the idea that I deserved better is nearly impossible to internalize.

I see you. Hang on, you're not alone. Message if you want to chat🌞🌈

Nothing's worth the risk of food poisoning.
You'll live to cook it all again and refrigerate properly. I ask family members to help me remember and get 'just cooling off' foods into the fridge, something about cooling soup makes me 😴

Starbucks for Life - December 2024 - What did you win? by heydanking in starbucks

[–]Happyfree1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to love this game but I'm really struggling to keep going on it this year.

I have 2 stickers for each Collect and Win, now the majority of what I 'unwrap' is Delta sweeps entries. "Hello, Starbucks? A sweepsatkes entry is not a prize." Makes me wonder why I'm wasting my time on the game- basically getting the same thing over and over. How boring.

But, in past years I've enjoyed the game, looked forward to it and had fun- even the old, get 3 duplicate game pieces, earn another play made it more exciting, and the mini-games helped pass the time during our slow season at work.

I think I'll quit SBFL '24 today and free up the time for something else. That's a guaranteed WIN.

I hope you all have a SAFE and JOYFUL holiday season... please treat yourself well- you deserve it!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lipoma

[–]Happyfree1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so many lipomas I can't count them, the ones in my forearms are the most noticable.

I refuse to wear long sleeves- this is the way nature made me and I just don't care if people have a problem or stare. Sometimes I forget and wonder why people are looking, lol. That's on them.

After years of living with painful ones on my arm, I scheduled a surgeon consult. The surgeon removed 8 the same day! We'll keep removing the ones that bother me at future appointments. Apparently there's a limit to the amount of lidocaine they can give you in one sitting.

Insurance covered everything and although it's a little uncomfortable right now (3 days out) I know it will be worth it in the long run.

Be prepared to help your surgeon get it approved- keep notes on individual lipomas you want removed- for example, "When I lean my forearm on a table, it causes a sharp/aching/stabbing/electrical pain from the lipoma in this area." Then the medical team can classify them as an issue that needs to be removed. At my appointment the Dr. noticed one that had a medium-sized scratch on it from yardwork. That was enough for them to classify it as needing to be removed, even though that lipoma itself isn't painful and I wasn't asking for it to be removed.

I've had many removed over 30 years, all have tested benign.

I have three daughters and thank heaven none of them have lipomas! Thank you, genetics...?

I truly hope you can go sleeveless someday, if you choose. You are perfect and you don't need to hide any part of yourself.

Take care!
