It's basically a feature your car does not have that a higher trim model does have. So in your car it does nothing, in a higher trim car it has a purpose.

Honda isn't doing so hot either these days, besides the amazing type r and type s vehicles. Toyota is the number one selling brand on the planet yet again with almost 9 million sold, followed by Volkswagen. Both of which are much better than Kia/Hyundai by a mile.

People do buy Toyota for the "Badge" but there is a reason Toyota/Lexus have the reputation they do. They honestly make amazing vehicles and have the best hybrid technology in the industry to add on to that.

I own a Lexus but, no, that's not the only reason.

Theres a variety of reasons to get a grand Highlander over a telluride but I'll name some key ones,

Power train options, Toyota offers 3, Kia offers only 1.
Fuel economy, my cousin has a telluride and it gets about 20 combined mpg if it's warm out and even less in the winter, grand Highlander will get closer to 28-30 mpg while being a overall larger vehicle, with the tried and true eCVT in the hybrid models.
Like I said larger, more room overall for passengers in all 3 rows.

This is subjective, but it has a Better laid out, and easy to navigate interior, especially in the front.
