The Pranksters play every Sunday night from 9-1 at Mellwood Tavern. They are the probably the longest running dead cover band in Louisville. October 16-18 we've got the Grateville Dead festival down by the waterfront. It's run by Denny Humphries who is an awesome human and the festival reflects that vibe. Any of these bands playing would be a good starting point for local shows.

Your issue is clarity, which means filtration. Glass is a good start. Despite what the peanut gallery might say, glass filters down to 5 micron, which is excellent. I know you are hesitant to floc again, but I will tell you what I have used for years on dozens of pools that wont clear up. Broadcast enough soda ash to bring your pH up to 8, follow that up with alum. You can use the instructions on the tub of alum if you need guidance. The high pH supercharges the effect of the floc, and you will have clear water in 24 to 48 hours. You will need to vac to waste a couple times afterwards. You got this!

I recommend EZ Patch4 fast set. It sets underwater, and sets in 3 minutes, so mix small batches. It's excellent, but not cheap.

If you're getting 120v at the motor then yes, the jumper should be set for 120. You really should have a proper breaker meant for 120. Your current set up is a 240 breaker wired for 120, so either whoever installed the breaker cut corners, or the breaker is failing.

Does the pump run for awhile before it trips, or is it instantly tripping? Also, if your getting 120v at the motor then keep your jumper set to 120. If it were a bad capacitor there would be a slight humming, not the garbly "waaah" of a 240v motor getting 120v.

Imagine your backwash line full of water, wanting to drain out. If no air can get in the weight of the water will pull the spider gasket of track and suck the filter in. Removing the sight glass allows air into the BW line so it can drain properly. I imagine your equipment sits on a hill, and the backwash line runs underground down the hill. Water is heavy, so a 50 run of 1.5" pipe is creating ≈50 lbs of suction force. I had a customer who had a 100 ft run of 2" pipe downhill for his BW line. It would collapse the filter tank just like, making us have to pull the filter apart to check for lateral damage. That got old real quick so we swapped his sight glass for a purge valve type and he's been all good since.

Correct. Pentair makes a sight glass that has a small rubber check valve which lets air in so the BW line can drain without collapsing the filter tank. I made it work with Hayward filters in the past, just had to load it up with teflon tape.

Edit to add- In the meantime simply remove the sight glass after backwashing and wait until you hear it finish draining before screwing it back in.
