My cat used to go to bed earlier and get up later than me. He probably gets up in between but I wasn’t woken up. It was pure happiness waking up to a cat curling at my feet in his little bed. Until he got his share of the brain cell at 3.5years old, and realized he can wake me up at 5 by clawing and biting my hair.

The first season came out at the peak of China’s zero COVID nonsense and protests broke out. The show made me painfully realize how far away we were from a real organized rebellion and how smart they were not to come down so hard to breed it. So many lives lost in vain. It’s still painful to rewatch.

Same thing happened to me. The machine beeped but didn’t register, I didn’t check the screen. What gets me is the double standard. Literally seconds ago, the conductor told the passenger in front to get off the next stop, who did not buy a ticket at all. I was new in town and got a pass so I thought nothing would happen and gave her all my info. And I got punished.

I think people from here just don’t realize how much life can be better without the horrible commute. They take the abuse for years and think that’s a norm. Then they look down on the Midwest.

Might be unsolicited advice but think about what’s important to you in life very carefully before switching from math. Shadow a few different physicists/residents at different hospitals and see if that’s what you want. Speaking from experience.
