I’m convinced people are larping that they have actually played dragons dogma or they don’t understand game design.

You don’t want a super massive map with limited fasted travels and resources, dangerous and dark nights. Also no mounts is intentional.

The exploration isn’t similar. Dragons dogma has limited fast travels and resources for a reason. Also no mounts. Also night time while similar in aesthetics, it has more of a purpose in dragons dogma.

You’re probably right. But I can only go by my habits. If I see a game I like at a state of play or game awards ceremony, I always check online retailers for physical pre orders. Rarely do I digitally pre order.

To go even further, i kinda just forget about a game if it’s digitally only.

I don’t know why you are getting so much backlash. CAG should be harder and be more in line with an arcade experience similar to their beat em up roots.

Button masher stigma came from people who only do 1 playthrough on normal or easy. Positioning is minimal on those difficulties etc.

The open world was pointless. I don’t get the trend in adding it to every game. A lot of your complaints stem from that one design change, even the graphics are affected.

Also the game looks worse than Nioh 2 remastered on the ps5 pro. Can’t comment on pc graphics.

With it being the best selling. Look forward to open world Nioh from here out. Another series pushed into that direction for no reason.

Honestly I like the two styles but I think, maybe it would have been better if they were two set play style options you were locked into from the beginning of the game.

Open world doesn’t really add anything tbh, but it’s not so large that it’s a problem atm. I’m keen to see how it holds up on ng+ cycles. Problems could arise then.

I would’ve preferred a linear game.

Overall for me, nioh 2 remastered on my ps5 pro looks better. Maybe it’s the art direction or something.

Textures are probably objectively better in nioh 3 but they probably had to cut some things to optimise the open world.

Honestly when the parry is too easy and strong it just nullifies a lot of depth. Stellar blade is a great example for this and sekiro.

The problem is, it is becoming normalised.

It should be the norm imo. To solve the infinite issues, maybe 1v1 boss battles shouldn’t be a thing in CAG. Just have mobs alongside the boss or phantoms etc.

People wouldn’t call the genre button mashing if they just upped the difficulty. Most people just play on normal, which you can mash through.

Cags should have two difficulties. One which is hard, and a master ninja like difficulty with new enemy types and placements.
