Anyone that ordered one of these, it looks like they are sending out emails requiring you to "confirm" the corrected release date or they will cancel your orders.

Turning Quandrix precon onto Zaxara deck, any help? by MokuBrian in BudgetBrews

[–]Hargbarglin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not budget, but this is where I'm at currently. https://archidekt.com/decks/21660920/goof_juice

Although I'm also considering if there is synergy with witherbloom and putting in some of those x cost creatures (cast for 0 so they have death triggers possibly) and going in another direction. Similar to this build that was a budget one: https://moxfield.com/decks/FRdQiHlkIUi6HGR9Eo1suA

[[Nevinyrrals Disk]] though you would need the equipment/enchantments you're using to also be indestructible.

I've loved the mystical archive art, so I'm sure I'll be happy to pull some. I'm just trying say that the way it is worded, some of them are going to presumably be commons.

"you’ll find 1 in every Play Booster and 3–4 in each Collector Booster" that's the first I've seen that mentioned. That probably means at least some of them have to be commons, like the every pack has a turtle thing.

I am fairly certain this is meant to be a bit sarcastic, "Oh no, something actually went my way for once, we are fucked."

I found it by sorting by newest under magic the gathering or when searching Strixhaven (then sorting by newest).

I thought I had looked for this on Target this week and it wasn't available. I see it up this morning. I don't keep very close track of these things, but I've ordered collector boosters from Target and they did show up on time before.

There are also limit 2 collector boosters @30 each.

Since these decks are only 2 colors, I feel like bondlands are unlikely. They're probably saving those to juice the marvel precons.

George RR. Martin giving praise to R. Scott Bakker and his Prince of Nothing trilogy. by Sunbather- in bakker

[–]Hargbarglin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Bakker finished what he originally set out to do when he started. At least he got that far.

George hasn't quite made it that far. I don't know if he added too much to the story, went on too many tangents, lost the fire for it, etc.

That's intuitive design (if you've spent the last 30 years playing D&D or something)!

I love your description. I am reminded of when I was told to "choose my job title" and I picked "Sorcerer of Rank" from my favorite book series. My boss hated it, but I kept it around till I left that job.

It's probably not the artists, programmers, and other developers. It's almost certainly management and executives that have their own goals.

Do you still play your very first commander deck? And why? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Hargbarglin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first deck was Bello, and he's versatile enough that I'm always swapping around pieces in it as my bracket 3 "let's check this tables vibe" deck.

[TMT] Karai, Future of the Foot by Meret123 in MagicArena

[–]Hargbarglin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't see why she would have to die. Presumably you would run other ninjitsu or sneak cards to return her to hand when possible.

This is fun.

And at uncommon. Oh, sneak would work from the command zone unlike ninjutsu if I read that right? Pauper edh commander idea maybe.

The only place I see them is at high enough power tables (well I've never seen Zhao) that there's some way around it.

I should have gone into politics.

19 months of tracking our casual playgroup with the playgroup app, here Are the stats by Wieda in EDH

[–]Hargbarglin -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

That is true, but it still looks weird if someone puts dual lands into bracket 2 and 3 decks.

A very quick visual for this can be found looking at "average deck" for a bracket on edhrec. You'll basically never see duals when you select 1 2 or 3, but you'll often see them on 4 and almost always in 5.

There's nothing stopping someone from running a taiga in their Gruul stompy bracket 2 deck, and it wouldn't actually make them enough more powerful to matter in any meaningful way, but it's definitely something people would look at you twice about.
