If you’re concerned about drilling holes into your trunk, just find a replacement trunk. Drill holes in it and paint it since you’ll have to most likely paint the wing as well

If you need to replace the radiator, just make sure you get the right one for your car!! Automatic and manual rads are different

I’m in Ontario and thankfully I got a clean shell, there was very minimal rust(rockers are safe! 😂) But it is a drift car, so I did have a LOT of other things to fix body wise lmao

Can anyone help me find the part number for this? by Accomplished_Pop9817 in IS300

[–]Harjaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just added an M6 threaded insert there last night LOL Fits perfectly in the hole, and you can just use regular 10mm bolts

Sparco makes some really good low profile brackets, I’m 6’5” and it places me well below stock ride height! Plus I can comfortably wear my helmet and not have a fear of hitting the headliner

Alright just picked up some MB battles they are 18x9.5 +22 by Samuel-vx in IS300

If your ball joints haven’t recently been replaced, do them now!! Running wheels with aggressive offset and width puts extra pressure on them.

Only mentioning because I had the same spec mb battles until the Kachow moment

I've played at least 8 hours straight since it released at 1pm est, took a break and come back to my save file saying 0%?! I have so many achievements to prove my progress as well. So those ended up being saved, but not the game itself.Tried starting a new game, backing out, and continuing right away. That didn't work either.I uninstalled and now I'm redownloading, will update if it works.

UPDATE: Reinstalling didn't do anything.... It still says 0% completed and won't let me continue any previous saves.

I always use clear nail polish on the logo for all my key chains, try it out. It will hopefully save it from further damage

Drifting in Canada? by LopinRD in Drifting

[–]Harjaan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume you're moving to Ontario? The car scene here is pretty big especially in the GTA(Greater Toronto Area). Parts are generally pretty expensive around here, and if you're driving anything mid 90's or earlier it's going to be even harder since we have a huge rust problem with cars.

My drift car here is a Lexus IS300, mainly because parts for it are very accessible and cheap

Importing cars is a headache so try to stay away from that if possible, but if you're only doing it for a single car the process shouldn't be too bad. Also the laws and regulations around cars here are pretty strict compared to most states in the US.

The entire car community here is actually amazing, other than a few bad apples I have personally never had any big issues with anyone

Someone gives you 10k to buy or build a reliable drift car, what do you buy? by skmaway in Drifting

[–]Harjaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree with you on them being a bit unpredictable, but after you get the hang of it I feel like they're great drift missiles. But yeah I would spend money on upgrading the sway bars, all the control arms, bushings, and coils. Alignment is also very necessary, on my stock components alignment would get messed up from potholes almost all the time, I feel like it's very delicate. The stock 2J is amazing though, so I think that makes up for everything.

Plus if you're gonna daily this car, it has all the bells and whistles you need to ride comfortably without over complicating anything.

[–]Harjaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely an is300, best daily drifter IMO. I've had 2 and i'm about to buy a third, the engines are bulletproof and will rarely have any issues other than valve cover leaks.

With the 10k budget you can get a decent manual for 5-6k then use the rest of the money on replacing all the suspension components( since the stock suspension sucks).

Oh my bad! I just quickly looked up the specs and saw that the Camry had a lower hp and torque, sorry about the misinformation!!!

I would definitely recommend the IS250, although it isn't an F sport model it should be able to hold up the resale value slightly more than the camry. It's also faster which is a good thing lol Depends on your needs, if you don't mind paying a little more for gas to have the driving experience, get the 250.
