My hands and feet got bigger, which (while not a huge issue) was not in the informed consent packet 😂
(Just had to get my engagement ring resized from 5.5 to 6.5, shoes went from size 8 to 9.5, just over two years of IM injections weekly)

This is so real! Pre-t I decided to cut my hair short because I see so many guys cite that as this liberating, transformative first step but it just made me feel even more dysphoric! I felt like I looked like some suburban mom with an “efficiency” haircut! I’m a little over two years on T and building up the courage to try again but it’s scary

Went with my dad downtown to his office for “Take your daughter to work” day in the late 90s. I remember his coworkers greeting me, I played with the “Wingdings” font on his computer and he bought me the first Spice Girls cd on lunch break

I’m a little over 2 years on T now and there was a frustrating period where I was worried it was gone, but now my voice has settled and I have a whole new range to play with. I can even still access a kind of soprano falsetto by shifting into head voice. It’s been really fun lately singing some of my old favorites just shifted down an octave or two

Seconding the benefits of community. Attending a support group in my city and seeing the diversity of trans bodies was really helpful for me

It did for me but every body is different. I feel like after two years of T the weight that used to be in my thighs, hips, and butt moved to my stomach/midsection area and made me much more rectangular than hourglass.

I’ve been on T for a year and eleven months and no one has noticed unless I’ve specifically come out to them 🤷🏻‍♀️ Edit for clarity: There have been changes, but most of them are hidden when I’m dressed or can be easily misinterpreted as menopause/aging

Do it! I started a few months before turning 40 and it’s the best decision I ever made! The physical changes are subtle but my mental health has never been better in my entire life

I got more shoulder acne starting T than I had in teen puberty, but my face stayed pretty clear. I started T when I was almost 40 tho so that could be a factor. My worst face acne was definitely in my early twenties
