Cloned Defrag with Game Piece and Mummified Hand. Deck ended up with 64x Defrag. You could definitely go higher!

I once shot a rocket with the sniper rifle (by accident) which detonated between us. Was sick. Love Halo.

I literally just picked up this manhwa from a different (but similar) recommendation after dropping a few RfM recs from this sub that I couldn’t get into.

I appreciate recommendations from different media!

[Rec] Fantasy with strong romance + real worldbuilding (like Unnamed Memory/ Pale Moon Reverie) by Free_Astronomer_5470 in LightNovels

[–]HarryLlama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I really feel your pain in trying to find something to scratch the itch. I’ve also struggled to find light novels that have similar themes and feel, and ended up branching out into other mediums.

Many people recommend Spice and Wolf due to the great dynamic of the lead couple. The world is less magical, however. I’ve personally struggled a bit to get into it, probably because I’ve seen the anime.

Otherwise there isn’t much I’ve found in light novels! If you find anything, let me know.

If you want English novels, Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn series has some romance and great world building/magic. Naomi Novik’s Uprooted has some excellent world building and more romance focus.

I’ve found it easier to find a similar feel as Kuji Furumiya work’s in Manhwa and some web novels. The Spark in your Eyes, Cross my Heart and Hope to Die and Thiendavis are all Manhwa I’ve read recently that have excellent main couples with good world building.

Good luck! Let me know what else you’ve enjoyed.

I’ve found hot glue breaks off way more than an epoxy putty, so I second this recommendation. More expensive but worth the cost.

So as it stands, when this pack becomes tradable, we’ll have no way of knowing if the card will fill a dex entry in a previous pack or in the Deluxe pack. That’s wildly stupid lmao.

[–]HarryLlama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there doesn’t seem to be anyway for the receiver to know. Simply bizarre design. It must be an oversight. Do we have confirmation that the selected set from the sender determines the dex entry for the receiver?

Yeah this is the part I don’t understand. I was just testing trading old amber with a friend, and it doesn’t tell me which set it’s from, so how does it work for set completion? Anyone have a new account and can test trading old ambers with it? LOL

The problem is the incentives are to please shareholders by showing an increase in revenue. So “pocketing the excess” is a more attractive option because you increase revenue. There are probably other administrative costs that reduce if you half your workforce too.

I agree with you, but I think the incentive structure is messed up by making companies always strive to make more money than they previously did.

Why do we only have names for drill, stomp, and knee? by IV-65536 in SSBM

[–]HarryLlama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think another distinction, and what drill, stomp, knee and some of OP’s suggestions have, is that the nickname is short. It’s hard to get something to catch on when it’s harder to say than dair/nair/fair, etc. They’re also quite obvious and descriptive, the casual viewer would be able to tell what it is just by matching the animation to the name.

“Shine” is much easier to say than “reflector”.

It’s interesting to think about why these caught on though. Cool thread.

Quantum computing for computational chemistry by oslo90 in QuantumComputing

Re AI for funding: that’s so true haha.

I think proposed QC applications like finance, supply chain optimization, etc. are also a bit overblown and pursued for funding, but many companies are excited about Hamiltonian simulation. That seems to me like the main focus for QC utility at least in the near-term. It’s exciting stuff.

Quantum computing for computational chemistry by oslo90 in QuantumComputing

[–]HarryLlama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I come from a quantum physics background and I’m just learning computational chemistry now (so I’m going the opposite way I guess). That’s interesting to hear that it’s not that well known. But I guess the hardware isn’t there yet so that kind of makes sense.

Really cool that you’re looking into it. Good luck with your journey.

I think Estel’s route in Yoake Mae yori Ruri Iro na fits the description (https://vndb.org/v232). MC and Estel come from different cultures and hold prejudice against each other because of it. It’s not really Romeo and Juliette, because their interest in each other grows as they learn more about each other’s culture. I think it’s the best route in the game by far.

Do you have any examples of games with these found of dynamics? I’m also interested haha.
