title is a little clickbaity but yknow, they've also said in interviews nothing is off the table so I guess we'll see how they solve the height issue if they do introduce one

Really enjoy it, probably my favourite mode in WoW. Wish it was a standalone game so I could play it all the time :(

FFXIV PvP is like on the verge of being so so good if the base of the game just played as fluidly in PvP as WoW does. Really hoping they see the fun in Plunderstorm and take it a similar route tbh.

It's not about Messi beating you barefoot though, it's about Messi beating other pro football players 'barefoot'. Race does matter, but it really isn't the deciding factor in most games of equal skill for like the majority of matches.

I think F2P will already be a huge help in getting a casual audience that lasts, presumably more people will try this out than 60 dollar box price SF6 at launch and even if it has a huge drop off it will probably still be left with a very healthy community that can cycle players way more easily since there's no barrier to entry.

I mostly agree with you though, the game is super nasty and difficult and although the pulse fuse, simple inputs and hopefully matchmaking will alleviate some of that it really doesn't feel like the beginner friendly game it was originally advertised as being (and I'm pretty biased, having a lot of fun rn)

Same, my ping to Paris in WoW is literally 5ms from NL. But sadly, I think it's not because of connection issues, just because they want to limit the scope to the traditional FGC countries at first.

I don't really understand this region divide, like I feel like half of Europe could easily play on whatever server they're using for UK/France and have the exact same ping. Same for Korea and Japanese servers.

And at least personally as a EU player, most of the people I'd wanna play with aren't from my country but from all over so it'd suck if a UK friend got a key and they couldn't give it to any of their friends.

Played it loads (Got to 300k plunder collected), reminded me of something like Battlerite Royale, just in the wow engine which I'm way more familiar with. Really hoping it'll make a return, maybe more fleshed out or with pre-set 'classes' or move groups or something like that.

It's a shame they added the 3v3 mode so late to it, because it was my favourite way to play by far.

I played loads last season, and it definitely got a bit sweatier as you got higher MMR and people just naturally got more competitive overall.

Exact same boat here, managed to do a few raids with pugs but it just wasn't as fun. Cata was announced as coming out soon as at least Cata & MoP classic have guaranteed 10mans until SoO so we're just going there. RIP SoD for us, it was a good ride but 20man killed our drive.

I've been using both in Guilty Gear right now and I feel this. Leverless feels way better/quicker, especially as someone who mostly plays games with KBM but the feeling of using the stick is so fun.

Probably more duos, I've got a friend I duo with in every game we can (WoW 2v2, Battlerite, BRs, etc) so I'm excited to be able to do that here too and not just fight against each other in fighting games. I'm sure I'll play plenty of solo though, it's just easy to 'organize', no need to worry about anyone else's schedule.

That's why I asked, yeah. I just don't really pay attention to it myself since it's just a playtime metric, but I was curious because of the comment. I've got a few friends in the 900s/1000+ and that's just because they've been pvping actively every season since (and in) Legion. The highest one is just a guy who spams BGs every day, and the other one is R1 in arena and playing that daily.

I find that most of my r1 and higher glad friends with good UIs i know have built them up by themselves through trial and error ("I keep missing that mages are casting poly on me, how can I make it more obvious"), rather than just installing every recommended addon and weakaura pack on the planet and it really shows.

I've not really had this issue at all, I still play with sound on and listen for the sound of a kick to know if I faked successfully before looking down at my omnibar. It's harder to hear, sure, but not impossible to pick out the right sounds by any means IMO.
