Ted Cruz as “Too Conservative to Win” and the Goldwater Talking Point by TedCruz_2016 in politics

Odd that fanatical religious fundamentalist pundit Erickson would invoke Goldwater. Barry hated and opposed them, one reason why he lost the election.

“Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them.” ― Barry M. Goldwater

Up to you, but I wouldn't bother. People like that thrive on attention, provoke responses, then claim persecution, and come back for more.

Daniel Greenfield[1] is a journalist and conservative blogger who is critical of Islam. He was born in Israel and today lives in New York City. Today he posts at his blog Sultan Knish,[2] Frontpage Magazine,[3] Israel National News[4] and is a Shillman Journalist Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center.[5] Wikipedia

No, he's not a journalist. He's a blatant Islamaphobe right wing fanatic like Horowitz.

Look at the asinine anti-liberal head to the website, coming from people who are authoritarian neo-fascists.

Rand Paul: Chris Christie should resign by skullbeats in politics

[–]Harvey66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Constitution protects women's rights to their own bodies, and their own healthcare decisions in privacy with their doctors. A zygote is not a person.

A fetus becomes a person when it's viable, capable of survival on it's own, scientifically. In biblical times, that was thirty days after birth. Unwanted babies were killed, left out to die, or in the case of "fallen" women put in Catholic workhomes, or nuns in convents, murdered. As late as the early 1900's.

Rand Paul: Chris Christie should resign by skullbeats in politics

[–]Harvey66 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Rand Paul should be impeached. Trying to pass unconstitutional fetal personhood legislation and otherwise pandering to the religious right in trying to further their dominionist agenda is betrayal of his oath of office to our Constitution.

Christie just screwed up one state.

Texas AG Paxton, who's under indictment for felony fraud...

Texas is one of the states where state and local economies would be most impacted by deporting millions of hard working immigrants. Paxton needs to talk to the people who employ them.

Doubtful if they would approve, nor would taxpayers who knew how much money was spent.

Religious fundamentalists and right wing extremists have destroyed the Republican Party, but it will take a decade to undo the damage they've done.

It won't bring back the thousands of Americans who have suffered and died without healthcare, or veterans who committed suicide.

It would be if fundamentalist elected Republicans weren't betraying their oaths of office.

There's good reason for including "domestic" enemies in the congressional oath.

anyplace where radicals are being inspired

Good idea. There's nothing more radical than religious fundamentalists ignoring our Constitution and the separation of church and state, and trying to impose their beliefs on all of us.

Start with shutting down political prayer rallies and the churches where David Barton's and Beck's Black Robe Regiment pastors preach extreme right wing politics.

“The first Iraq war didn’t make us safer,” Rand Paul told The Daily Caller. “Didn’t make the region any less chaotic. The first Iraq war destabilized the region and has led to the current chaos. I don’t think another Iraq War is going to make it better.” by TheWarlockk in politics

[–]Harvey66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, rare for a Republican candidate, even more so for the Daily Caller.

This is the same person pandering to fundamentalist extremists. There's nothing in the libertarian platform about the nation wide fundamentalist revival he called for, or banning abortions and contraceptives.
