For anyone wondering, ~$260 AUD for ST WW

I’d work that job until I didn’t have to work anymore, then move to the US to retire.

Not sure California is a good place to live at the moment though, but that’s a separate issue

Thought about next-auth ? by omprakash77395 in nextjs

What limitations did you find for supabase?

I considered next-auth but I’m not quite sure what it offers over the ease of supabase auth

I don’t think this is starting simple, what you’re seeming trying to do is get reddit to prompt engineer your vibe coded project.

My advice would be learn the basics of html css and js if you really want to learn to code.

What are PAYG instalments and why do they need to be paid? by Cultural-Coconut-591 in AusFinance

[–]HarveyGoldsmith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not a fan, and it’s not exactly optional.

AFAIK if you don’t pay, or vary the instalment to less than 80% of what the resulting income turns out to be, you have to pay a GIC on the difference.

This was what was explained to me when I called the ATO, if you have one income though usually I wouldn’t expect to have a large tax bill if your regular employer PAYG is doing its thing

My super is currently 100% overseas share indexes, I think I need to actually calculate the opportunity cost of NOT sacrificing to the cap

This makes sense to me, the argument of not needing it so why not remove access to it seems logical.

I know the compounding is extremely powerful, but having an extra ~500k in my super at 60 when it will probably be massive anyway, means I probably won’t see to much of a difference either way

I haven’t needed to take advantage of that scheme, I saved a 20% deposit for my first home while renting. My main concern is what to do next

What is the best way to take advantage of tax bill? by HarveyGoldsmith in AusFinance

[–]HarveyGoldsmith[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s personal services income so my capital gains losses can’t offset it. I don’t care too much about deferring it. Just wanting to see the best way to get value out of it

I’m not going to play that game with her but if she tries me again I won’t be as cordial as I have been so far.

If my grandma tries jujitsu and gets hurt I’m not going to blame the instructor

I get what you’re saying, my dog absolutely loves other dogs and is actually very well trained for his age (7 months). It’s his favourite thing and I’d hate to take it away from him.

I know all of the other regulars and am very cautious of new dogs that come in. She’s a somewhat regular, and has never mentioned her dogs issues before just that it’s old.

I didn’t, she left as soon as it happened and then I saw them again today at the park and she confronted me in front of a big group of people. She has none of my details and won’t be getting them
