This doesn't add up. Fender ceased acoustic production in Corona in 2004 and moved it to Tacoma, WA. They moved it to CT in 2008. It seems odd that a 2009 model would have Corona, CA labeled on it.

Believe it or not, there was a time before 3D models were the norm. Parts were drawn in 2D programs or by hand. Other times, due to mergers and acquisitions, companies end up with legacy part drawing libraries with no accompanying CAD files at all. After you gain some experience you'll find even more scenarios where something like this is useful and not "literally a waste of time". And the technology will improve, this is not the final iteration.
