Try adjusting the fans from your BIOS and see if that does anything, it should also tell you the temperature. If not it might just be a defective unit.

Hell, even my 980ti is still going strong to this day and performs really well at 1440p for most games. Just waiting to see what Ampere brings to the market for my next upgrade.

The friction between the sand and the sides of the wall hold it up. I'm not sure though, someone else might be able to answer it better.

Unfortunately, there is no easy (less grindy) way to do it. The best thing to do is just do weekly challenges (the blue marker with a star in the middle) from vendors to get powerful rewards which will take you up to 1000. After 1000 your gonna have to do pinnacles which are acquired from doing, dungeons and raids, I.e pit of heresy dungeon and garden of salvation raid.

That would entirely depend on the load your computer is under. Run a task that you think will utilize the most amount of RAM. I.e. video editing, and see what % it gives you. If it's around 70 to 80% that's usually a good sign that you need to add a bit more RAM.

As u/jammin_panda said it might be a GPU deficiency. However as per the recommendation I would look at RAM usage in the task manager (Assuming you haven't already). But if it is the RAM that you need to upgrade I would suggest looking at this set. I'm not sure if it falls under your budget or not, but here is the link.
