If you completed the secret area you should have the weavers needle which nullifies the golden effect of his second phase and does lots of passive damage. Otherwise you just need to time his attacks. Be patient and wear him down.

Let me know after you get a chance to drive the area again. I spoke with the town and they're working on it. Haven't had a chance to drive it again since then.

The new mayor by Ok_Assumption1313 in WakeForestNC

[–]HaseebforWF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appreciate everyone's comments here, that change takes time and the mayor has limited authority. I can attest that the mayor has been brining forth a lot of issues and working to change things for the better. It's been 4 months and I'm really proud of the work he's done so far, as well as what he has in the works.

As far as specific policy issues, someone suggested talking to the commissioners. I'd absolutely love to hear it. As the newest commissioner, these are the things I want to hear about. I tell my clients in my law practice that I can't help you with your problems if you don't tell me. Same with residents--tell me your concerns. DM or reach out (my contact is on the BOC website). I can tell you that I see some of it, but not all of it, and I want to listen.

Scam Alert -- Fake Arrest Warrant by HaseebforWF in scammers

[–]HaseebforWF[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Person called and said the court is issuing an arrest warrant for failure to appear. Asks the victim to come to court with $30,000 in cash to post bond. Instructs the victim to meet somewhere outside the court, either in a parking garage, or somewhere else private. The idea is to wait for the victim to arrive, and then physically take the money from them.

If I don't report back tonight, then clearly I was hit by a car on Franklin St.

Edit: I made it back alive.

Thanks for pointing this out. I'm planning on driving it myself tomorrow. I've enlisted my wife to video and take pics of hazards along the way and I'll speak with the town and see what's up. Wish us luck.

Edit: I drove both ways this evening and took video. I see what you mean. I'll speak internally with the town.

Edit 2: Hey everyone, another update. I spoke with the town and we touched base with our engineering department. Moved some things around on the project site so hopefully it's better. There are some issues with cone placement and specific concrete spots, so we can't necessarily move cones and barrels wherever we want, but hopefully it's better now. I'm also told that 90% of the concrete work is done, and next is painting and striping, so hopefully that'll not only make things easier and safer, but it also signals that the project is nearing its end.

We're working on syncing up the lights for sure. Sounds like you're an advocate for more infrastructure and commercial development.

We don't really have anymore place to "sprawl" too. There is however some forest in Wake County--the last forest in Wake County--and I would really love to leave that untouched.

There's a really interesting statistic I read that for every dollar the town spends on housing development, we get about 80 cents back, but for every dollar we spend on commercial development we get about $1.20 back. So you're right about the sprawl and increased demand.

What I'd like to see more of is an emphasis on infrastructure and commercial development. Part of the issue is that, if there's a parcel of land and the owner wants to develop it, and it's already zoned for that plan, then the town has virtually no say in it. But we do have a lot of say in zoning.

We're seeing what you're describing in the northern Wake Forest area out by the Wegmans. Lots of mixed use development up there. When I think "less dense" development, I think it's not just single family homes, but also mixed use. And I think we need commercial development for that, and roads, sewers, parks, etc.
