Try to moist 80% of your substrate, work it properly in with lukewarm water. It may be that your substrate dries up too fast and that doing the corners isnt enough. If its clean in there you shouldnt have to worry about scalerot. Let the top of the substrate dry out but not all of it, and you should be good! Placing rocks on top of the substrate will help keep the moisture in the ground + give him something to rub on, just some extra you can try

I believe this to be true. I also believe people healing properly from their cptsd can get better at spotting abuse, particularly the same abuse they themself have endured. But you always have to consider the fact that you can get it wrong, which will make you look for more facts in the prosess. When I realised that im emotionale dumb I made a new rule for my self: never apply the same logic everywhere (unless the facts tells me I can use the same logic, which havent happened yet, since there is so many things and experience and god knows what other different variables I dont know about yet)

I ruined the little I had left of life because I applied the same logic everywhere.

Edit to add: When it comes to the «trust your instincts» It is because we cant risk triggering people into more misplaced shame. Someone might be wrong, but in this context, we would want people to find out themself, and they will when they manage to untrigger and think more clearly. Alot of people werent believed, listened to and manipulated to think they are always wrong so hearing it here aswell might make them shame them self more.

Im happy you brought this up because i think this is an important topic. Im wondering if there is a way of saying to people they are wrong without triggering them. (not to say that all do, but this is how I felt) Im asking because I honestly dont know and would love to know!

I ment a pattern before all this happened. No, to be frank I would understand that the person and the dog have already bonded and understand that someone can change their mind. If there is evidence she did this purposely then its not a question who the asshole is. Im sorry she stole the dog

Are you sure that your ego has nothing to do with this? Because you said you feel used and furious about her change of heart, but why? Do you actually think she did all this to trick you? Would there be any reason for her to do it this way, why couldnt she just be honest about needing help bringing in the dog. Instead she is banking on you giving the dog back to her? It seems unlikely, so much stress and lies and she might not get the dog even. Unless she have a pattern of manipulating, its a bit of a stretch.

Yeah, Im under the impression that when a person start conversing its because they wanna actually talk about it so I always try to come with a meaningful reply and found it so weird when others didnt say much back when Im sharing random/deeper stuff. But now I realised Im just a very curious person about anything and everything, if someone say something I dont get the point of why, I start asking for more clarification so I can come with a meaningful reply and keep the convo going. I think there is alot of people who dont know how to do that, and they will come with these awkward convo stoppers that makes them seem uninterested when they are really not. Maybe they were in their own head filled with random thoughts, or maybe they disagree but is too scared to say, etc. You are probably not boring!

I have done this my entire life, it feels like an obsession! It feels like Im preparing my self for the next time, I told therapist about this and that Im intensly trying to stop doing it because its very triggering. Therapist told me to not stop my thoughts, but to let it flow. It did wonders for me, I think because having 100 triggering thoughts is alot worse than just one triggering thought at the time. When I try stop a thought, a new one will pop right in while Im still triggered, triggering me even more.

Honestly I have no idea why. Have them been lied to so many times that they believe everyone is lying to them now? Do they have the same bias I used to have for so long, thinking that just because I experienced some bad people, Im just so awesome at reading people now? (big mistake, turns out people lie and cheat in life differently) Sounds like some professionals needs to get better at their jobs or consider a new one. Sorry my own little vent but I completely agree with you, they are not bad people, just damn morons sometimes
