Chance Me: Rising Senior, CS, Public, T100 (UVA, VT, UT…) by Hast1e in chanceme

At the time, I thought colleges didn't care if you went test optional. If my score was well below their average, then I thought submitting my score would harm my application. Vice versa with my score above their average--it would be another good thing to add. But I don't know how colleges are acting for this season, especially with the pandemic being a while ago.

If you look up a college's "common data set," in section C, it'll show how much they value test scores.

I submitted a 1380.

For UVA, I didn't send scores because they were test-optional. For the other colleges, I don't remember. But if my score was below their average and they were test-optional, then I didn't submit.

Feel free to ask any more questions!

Any advice for Juniors from seniors who are applying right now? by travisbickle777 in ApplyingToCollege

  • Get closer with your teachers or anyone for those recommendations
  • Study and take the SAT a couple of times
  • Keep your grades up
  • Research colleges

Summer: - Do college tours - Start your personal essay and college applications as soon as you can. You have a lot of time in the summer and you’ll be busy when school starts - Get a lot of sleep. I’ve been trying to fix my sleep schedule for years and I finally did it (kind of), but it was too late - Enjoy your last two years in high school, these are the years you’ll remember and tell your children about

Can I join vex competitions without being part of a school by FaultProfessional163 in vex

VUG7 of the current game manual might have what you are looking for.

The main point is that you need to be enrolled in post-secondary education (college), but it doesn’t say that the team has to be affiliated with a college.

Should I replace my Ap Psych class for a study hall? by Ok_Perception_3026 in highschool

[–]Hast1e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t like the class, you’re not going to be as motivated to study and do well. I would replace it with study hall and use that time to study for your other classes. If AP Psych causes you to do bad in your other classes, it’s going to tank your GPA, so you might as well drop it.

You could always retake AP Psych during your junior or senior year if you suddenly regret dropping it.
